SUV Strikes Bicyclist, Flips Over

how does a bicycle cause an SUV to flip over? thanks rnews, that must be one sturdy bike.

Witnesses say a woman ran a red light and hit a man on a bicycle in Rochester Monday morning. It happened near the intersection of Mt. Hope Ave. and South Ave. around 10 a.m.

Witnesses say they saw the SUV speeding on South Ave. when it hit the bicyclist. The SUV then flipped over, landing back on all four wheels.
"When she came through the light, I looked over and I saw a guy lying in the street. I saw the vehicle doing a real live tumble,” said Vandy Gallishaw, witness. “It was just like it was just in a movie, seriously.”

Police say the bicyclist, the driver and a passenger were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries

Did she get a ticket for breaking the laws of physics? :rimshot:

Probably swerved 90 degrees and rolled.

+1

High center of gravity + dropping your cell phone, nail polish, and newspaper, jerking the wheel to the side because you just noticed the bike and red light = the Firestone Tumble

A comedian once said… “The younger the mother, the more stupid the name.” The witness must have had a very young mother.

It’s even more confusing when you read:
“Police say the bicyclist, the driver and a passenger were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries”

You hit a bicycle hard enough to flip your SUV through the air, landing back on your tires, and everyone is ok after. Even the guy on the bike.

Were they filming The A-Team movie?
