Cliffnotes:
Good
Comes with LCD
Comes with a remote start control
Comes with a laser to help you align.
For the price very nicely equipped compare to GoPro
Works with GoPro mounts

Bad
Sounds isn’t as good as GoPro (use of external mice is recommended for either camera if you care for sound much, then you sync both in post processing)
Video is on par or slightly worse than GoPro hero

If you always wanted to play with an action cam to see if it’s something you want to get serious about, or wanted a throw away cam that you’d put into more dangerous situations or could lose (such as water) this will go great.

I see myself getting a go pro in the future as well, but two cameras are better than one in either case.

For this price it’s an absolute bargain and this addresses a few things that pissed me off about GoPro’s when I had them - No LCD (without paying $70 more) and No laser alignment. Nothing worse than going out and getting epic action footage just to realize later that you got nothing good out of it because camera was off.

I’m excited about trying it out.

I had the two original GoPro’s that I ended up selling, partially because of their short comings addressed above. One wide angle one normal.

I wanted to get into it with a newer model but didn’t want to spend $300 on Hero 2, or ~$200 for Hero 1 (used around $150). New models are nicer in many ways especially with the screen attachment you can buy and extra battery but price becomes a major factor with all these addons.

For the price this was perfect, addresses all the shortcomings of the GoPro, allows me to have a spare cam in the future and even if I don’t use it as much as I expect i’m not out that much $.

It doesn’t look terrible at all.

85% video for 150% accessories at 1/2 the price works for me.

thats a great deal, and the spec’s look pretty good! its got all the necessary stuff like 1080 and 720x60fps, but at 1/2 the price of a gopro. and I agree about aiming the gopro, its a pain and it never comes out right.
