We haven’t had many hits on this, but thought I’d drop it here to see if anyone was interested. Basically the position is listed at a System Administrator I but if you have the experience could be a II. Ideally someone with a decent (2years for a level 1) UNIX background that we can train, one of the core expectations for this job is backup administration too.

Position Summary:As a member of the CIS Systems Programming Staff, this position is responsible for assisting with quality Operating System Administration, maintenance, and implementation of new and existing Software and Hardware at HealthNow. In this position, the incumbent will gain a working knowledge of Systems Administration, technologies, standards and quality assurance practices. Primary Job Duties:
Install and debug Operating Systems software and software patches
Configure Operating Systems and supported application software
Modify Operating Systems and supported application software
Install, configure, and implement new hardware into HealthNow environment
Provision hardware to satisfy user requirements and projects
Prepare reports on systems capacity and utilization
Work with other team members and other departments solving problems including participating in a 7/24/365 production environment (Support is required with a remote connection neccessary to provide prompt support)
Document work processes and operating environments
Perform work according to documented standards, methodologies, and quality assurance practices
Plan for and participates in Disaster Recovery Tests
Attends and actively participates in meetings and other planning sessions regarding all job functions
Attend education to stay abreast of best practices and current technology
Reports on time worked
