What’s up everyone! I am a newbie to the Nissan world, and I have a couple of questions that I realize were probably already discussed to death with you more experienced guys/gals.
Anyway, I am picking up my brothers '90 240 hatchback. He has already swapped an SR20det into it, but the body is pure crap! In any case, I was wondering where a good place would be to look for a new shell? As well, what kind of mods need to be done if I want to replace the T25 turbo with a T28?
As I said before, these topics have more than likely be beaten to a pulp, but any info will be appreciated.
sorry?
i thought you could seeing as i bought everything except a block and trunkwhen i totalled my hyundai… and it had 3 spots of rust on the trunk which i swapped with mine.
it is worth a try that is all I am saying.
Well you want supporting mods like front mount intercooler, exhaust, intake to make it worth the power gains. Then youll need to look into some larger injectors, probly in the 550cc range cuz its easiest to buy. An RB25 MAF would a good upgrade to make sure you are reading your air flow properly, and an ECU tune will be needed to manage these properly. Also a good flowing fuel pump, a walboro 255lph is fairly cheap and easily handles it. Gonna probly want an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator for that stuff too. Stuff id recommend too is some rocker arm stoppers, a good rad, some temp guages and an oil pressure guage. There are also some different t28’s to look at too. Theres the ones off the s14, s15, and then the real fun ones like the GT28RS. Dont know how much power you want but im guessing more than the T25 can put out, so this is my best guess to keep you on the safer side from what you said you want.
I believe it also makes a much easier install if you get braided oil lines such as taka ones. You CAN use your other ones but that way is much simpler.
I’d add EGT, wideband O2, if you’re planning to do any tuning yourself and stay with a fixed FPR that increases pressure with boost. If your injectors are sized properly you really don’t need an adjustable.
