Sell me one…
Call the guy in Tonawanda who parts out GTOs and F-Bodies that was talked about on here not too long ago. See what he has.
No way. That dude wants silly money.

I’m looking for a local one. I can use google too ya chooch
Before I found my T56 on CL I talked to the guy in NT that parts out the GTOs. He said they rarely sell individual transmissions, it’s almost always the whole dropout being sold. Yeah, I think he wants like 4000-5000 for a dropout…
searchtempest or LS1Tech!

Doubt its still available but worth a shot.
I’m going up to New Era next weekend, I can ask Mike if he has one or can get a lead on one. I’ll shoot you a text if anything comes up of it.
DAMN! Ok, nevermind then. I’m getting a whole car delivered to my house for that price; which I can then strip and sell off what I don’t need!
You’re getting a whole GTO for that much?
He charges less for F-body drop outs he also has every part you can imagine
http://www.texasdrivetrainperformance.com/ was selling built trannys out right I don’t know what your HP plans are
Whole '98-'02 F-body LS1/T-56 (A4 is cheaper) cars are going for that all day on Copart. Depending on the location/mileage, $3500-$5000 delivered with all fees.
My plans arent nearly enough to require a built trans. I’m looking for a low mileage t56 and nothing else
Thanks for the link.
Is this car done yet?
You are posting “is the car done yet” in a thread that is asking to purchase a pivotal piece of the project in order to finish it?
No ha. It’s not done
I have an 06 gto t56 I might sell. Yes I know it’s not an F body…
But it’s a shifter and ls2 starter away from being ok.
Still need one!!! Ls1 t56 to be clear.
Bump…
I have friend looking for one also. If you find more than one, LMK! ha
Unfortunately I don’t think you’re going to find one locally. Sometimes one does pop up on CL in Rochester or even further east.

Super built, but LT1 style. Jason at Texas Drivetrain Performance told me it would be about 280-400 to convert from LT to LS style. You’d need an LS bellhousing as well.

I think I recall you saying you already had an LS3 on order but if you’re interested in picking up these and parting them out, that’s an option too.
