What a decent price for a complete dropout from an F-body with engine, tranny, harness, pcm, and accessories? Anything in particular to look out for when buying one?

i’m just pissy cause i wanted to do the swap and it was just too much $$ for a nice ls1. A friend of mine just picked his up “2400$- 2002 ls1/t56 w/ ls6 intake, ls7 clutch delivered”. i called BS cause when i was looking 2800-3200 was the norm. but theres deal out there just gotta be patient.
most likely it had alot of miles on it for that price.

i agree, dont jump on the first one you see unless you need it ASAP. There are quite a few deals out there if you search hard enough. Hell a complete 99 z28 m6 car sold for 2500 bucks just up at local car lot

Thanks for the info guys. $3000ish fits the budget fine but the >$3500 ones don’t. I have some time to wait for a good deal to come along and in the mean time start selling off all the SR20 swap goodies.
Yeah just be patient, when I bought my drop out I got very lucky. The guy was getting divorced and sold the drop out so his soon to be ex wouldn’t get the money. Ended up getting ls1 with t56 all wiring, ecu, all accessories, and some extra stuff for 2500 bucks. BUT I got really lucky and mine probably has high miles. Deals are def out there just have to know where to look. It def isnt a bad idea to get into contact with Mater seeing as he deals with that stuff all day long.
