Ferrari 360 Modena Limousine; Or, How to Look RidiculousNothing says chav quite like rolling up to your wedding in a 20 foot long Ferrari 360 Modena Limo. Though not quite as impressive as the Czech-built Skoda limo the other day, this one will probably hold more Guinness World Records. The 360 limo was the brainchild of owner and builder Dan Cawley, in partnership with former Mclaren associate Chris Wright. They constructed the car by slicing the beast in half and then painstakingly reconstructing the carbon-fiber chassis, along with adding carbon -iber supports. Even though the car is over nine feet longer than stock, it only weights in at an additional 350 lbs.
One Way To Get To The Wedding On Time
With those figures in mind, the owners are planning to make a run at the record for the longest Ferrari and the fastest limo in April. Not bad considering we only found out about the Ferrari Limo only about a year ago. If you live in England, you and seven of your closest friends can rent it out for the princely sum of 700 quid an hour. Have fun doing really, really big donuts
This here is the world’s first Ferrari 360 Modena converted to a gullwing stretch limo. It’s 23 feet long, but with 400HP, goes zero to 60mph in about 6 seconds. These mods, and the extra 6 Recaro seats, cost £200k. Sounds like a deal to me. We’ve got one more photo of the gullwing in full splendor, but Gizmag, who broke the story, has a few more photos.

Ferrari Threatens to Take Legal Actions Against 360 Modena Limo Owner
Ferrari can be pretty anal when it comes to modifying its cars or even using its badges on a vehicle other than its own. Now the Italian supercar-maker is threatening to take legal actions against the British owner of the world’s fastest limousine, a modified 360 Modena that can go up a top speed of 166mph – 267 km/h. According to reports, Dan Cawley, 36, of Cheadle, Manchester, has 14 days to remove all prancing horse badges, Ferrari names and “360 Modena” symbols from the 6m (20ft) supercar-limo.
“What kind of precedent does it set when you can’t do what you like with your own property?” asked Mr Cawley. Ferrari’s lawyers support that since Mr Cawley cut the 360 Modena in half and inserted a 3m (9.5ft) section of hand-built carbon fibre, the car is no longer a Ferrari, so he has to remove the badges and logos or else he’ll face legal action for infringing the Ferrari trademark.
First of all the guy who did this is NOT in the USA, and laws are very different abroad, to say “they don’t have a case” is rather naive. My understanding of British law is pretty slim, but if they keep tight reigns on intellectual property(which they very well may) I could see how they(Ferrari) could argue this. The problem is its terribly negative for a company with already questionable scruples and there is a certain level of international standardization in relation to IP laws that could make discretion completely up to the court hearing the case. All around bad news if you ask me.
I’m pretty sure Ferrari has a pretty decent case in their favor. You just gotta look at it through their eyes.
-Owner buys a Ferrari 360M from Ferrari.
-Owner destroys the Ferrari-made chassis by cutting it in half.
-Owner rebuilds the chassis 3meters longer, using productsnot distributed by Ferrari.
-Owners keeps all the Ferrari badges, name, etc… while making profit off of it. When it technically is NOT a Ferrari anymore.
It’s not like you guys think where you’re swapping just motors and plain shit like that. This guy literally cut the chassis in half. Ferrari’s done this before with some of the cars that aftermarket companies HIGHLY modified. The companies couldn’t even put a prancing horse anywhere on the car.
It probably would be diffent if they didnt rent the car out and make money on it. Like Cossey said, They are marketing a car as a Ferrari that Ferrari didnt build and dont want to be held accountable for or be associated with the fabrication that is not theres. Ferrari gave him a way out. Take off the logos and be done with it… Its still a Modena Limo but with no trademark link to Ferrari
thats like having your corvette have the emblem “Prius - Hybrid” on the back. I agree, somewhat with some of the remarks about ferrari not wanting to be held accountable but, they turned a normal ferrari into something ferrari probably would never build, because it would hurt there “Proformance car that .01% of the worlds population can afford”
You just proved my statement. Stuff like this may have been fine in the 1960’s, but now, when marketing is everything to most manufacturers, and someone makes an attempt to ruin the Ferrari name?
~~“tuners” or “ricers” ruined the honda name as we know it.
~~F&F ruined the (at the time) underground street scene, to as we know it today, which actually turned out to be good, because the STI, Skyline,Supra,RX7 are more popular then every with the maunfactuar making more aftemarket parts for these car.
i could go on and on, but i do agree with you cossey, but still for every car your going to have a prson modding it.
Look at:
~Civette ~civic with corvette motor (who would have known)
~Sil80 truck~ (my car) 240sx chopped down and fabbed into a truck
~then motor swaps from cross makers
~dont forget the elcamino’s lifted with a f150 frame, and then lifted more, and have super swammpers on there
