Take me about Disney, input appreciated.

I guess that was supposed to add to the overall effect of a real wave replication. i was actually trying to time the wave for the pic and wasn’t paying attention to the foreground. I will agree with you though. If you’re looking for “hard bodies” and “chivettes”, Disney parks and their water parks are not the place to go.

Do you regret not buying a RV vs going to Disney?

I got Bobby’s view on the two options but I don’t want to live the “camping life”, and neither does my wife. If we decided we wanted to take on the camping thing, it would’ve been a no brainer. Watching my friends who camp, they enjoy it, but almost have to go just to make the investment justifiable. Their kids are reaching that age where they won’t have much interest anymore and then they’re done with it. I would figure another 5-6 years for my son and then we’d be in that boat too.

I think it’s easy for people with out kids to dismiss Disney as a waste of money however its a stress free vacation for a whole family.

Nothing wrong with camping either or buying an RV btw

I just came to say that I am glad my parents never purchased a camper or RV when we were kids. Instead they took us on all sorts of cool trips across the country that I will remember forever and hope to do with my kids someday.

You’re from Pendleton so please type quietly. I don’t want you getting in trouble.

The making the investment justifiable is what happened to me. I am way to busy to go to camp and I have been spending north of 5K a year to keep and maintain it. This money will now shift into another bucket. I will buy a large RV once I am retired or close to it. I do enjoy the traveling with no schedule to maintain.

I take my kids on trips as well, and another RV would make it easier. I am still going to avoid that and hopefully take a few big trips abroad or to areas that they wouldnt go otherwise.

Saw some but never dumb enough to go swimming with them.

Does everyone still hate disney?

I / we enjoyed ourselves. Wasn’t cheap but I felt it was worth it. There were many bodies of water none of us had an urge to go too close to, let alone go in. Sadly Disney will pay in money, and reputation, in our society of “its everyone else’s fault but mine”. I feel they have no fault in this matter.

Nice that you take your kids on a nice trip.

When I was a kid we went to the KOA on Grand Island that was about it.

We honestly didn’t go much of anywhere as kids either. We did go do Florida once, but I don’t even remember if we went to Disney. You can still take your kids to KOA. Make it a tradition.
