Hmmm… all these people saying you can’t get sun in WNY…
I haven’t left the area since last April, and I had a sunburn last weekend, and I have a very nice goggle tan.
As for all that crap about a “base-tan”… You know that they do make things such as sunscreen nowadays as well? They do a wonderful job in protecting your skin from the damaging effects of sunlight if used properly.
I went tonight and signed up myself for a month; I only went 10 minutes though, I haven’t been in years and didn’t feel like being a lobster if I guessed wrong and went for 12-15…
I’m going for 2 reasons: #1 I’m going to Palm Beach FL in just over 2 weeks, and #2 my skin is freaking out now that it’s spring time and I need to dose it with UV to get it to calm down and clear up.

This to me is odd; and for me at least, un-true. If I get out in the sun and spend time out there early in the season before I have color, I will get a decent burn like most people. Once I have color, I can spend the same amount of time outside on the lake, etc and not get burned except for my nose and cheeks which burn no matter what.
I’m not saying it’s true or false about a base tan, but for my body and skin there is a defenate differance in being in the sun with and without a tan.
wow, you people make it sound like the sun doesn’t exist if it is cold or overcast out, when i reality these are the times you are most likely to get burned
