I learned something today…there’s a 200sx targa apparently?
I think it’s something they did custom to the car.
I’ve seen one local and all three have the b-piller cut in different places…
the 2nd and 3rd pic are the same car.
What spoiler does the black car have? That one actually looks nice unlike all the other ones I’ve seen.
found that on another site it seems that this was really an option because they all have the same joints in what looks like the same place.
^^^ same as the first one.
definitely custom jobs.
and yeah that last car is just the first car with more lameness ;]
i like the targa look. I wonder how much that job would cost???
Probably not really all that much to be honest. However, doing that to a car like the 240 which wasn’t designed to be missing the roof - say bye bye to any sort of body rigidity
You would have to modify the frame rails to an extent to make up for the chunk of roof your removing as the roof is most of the structure
If I get around to it thou… this is a mod on my list of things to do
and hello to roll cage?
or?

Roll Cage would do it… but then you have the pillar bars etc… running across the section of open roof and it looks kinda gay
therein lies the expense… you’d want to properly reinforce the stucture to allow the removal of such an important panel, but the gaskets and latching mechanisms could be had from a MK3 supra, dad used to have the 1986.5 white on burgandy targa, classic.
80s supras are hot
Targa top 200sx’s were made back in 89 by a company based in Germany as a limited run. Much like Autech convertible silvia’s (S13 and S15 variettas). When they were released they cost something around $70,000.
I love that, I have been wanting to do it for years,

Maybe one day

You just need a cgae like the ones designed for MK4 supras. Not exatly a perfect design, but it will do the job and still look okay.
