i know i don’t i just don’t understand how a thread that begs for attention in which he KNOWS full well he is gonna get negative feedback on all ends begs teh question of why he did it?
it must be for attention
i dunno im sorry to make the thread worse
so with that being said
mike. whoever you are, you made a stupid choice
next time think

A lot of our choices are stupid. I bought an s2000 and with car payment + insurance it costs me a lot. I have another car, which is cheap on insurance, and has no car payment on it.
I don’t need it. It’s stupid to invest all this money into any car, but I’m going to do it anyway. I could put this money toward my down payment for my future mortgage.
The real issue here is how he is justifying having this truck (saving him money so he can “move out”) … and justifying why he shouldn’t have bought, something say… like a civic.
I’m 5’11" 237lbs and a very wide frame and I fit in an S2000, your 6’2" 250lbs frame can fit in a civic.
Ladies and Gentlemen, this right here is proof positive that people make purchasing decisions based on emotion, and then afterwards try to justify them with logic and reason. This is something they teach salespeople on day one. That is why dealers push for you to test drive vehicles. I’m sure Mike is happy with his decision, and will be for at least another 4 months.
if i think about it, i’ll take a picture of the fuel milage thing next time im on the highway haha. and i honestly dont give a shit if you think im an idiot.

On the thruway, with my 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.2l, the overhead told me I was getting 35mpg when I was doing 80mph. When you feather the gas and coast at highway speeds, the computer lies to you.
ya know, funny how the initial purpose of this thread was to express my dissatisfaction with the dealer, and at no time did it say “OOOOO look at my new truck DO YOU LIKE IT?!??!?!”
and i dont give a shit what people on here say, im happy with my purchase and thats all that matters to me.
You should be happy with your truck. And when someone asked, “Why did you buy it, didn’t you just buy a GTO?” Your response should have been “Why not? Isn’t it massive and bad ass?” Instead, you tried to justify it using some really weak logic.
Have fun with your new truck. Go pull trees out of the ground with it, or something.
No one would have jumped on you if you didn’t try to justify the purchase/trade on the basis that you wanted to save money/finish school/move out, because a big rediculous truck is cool, but definitely not for those reasons.
I am still completely dumbfounded how you can say a $520 a year savings on your vehicle is less then a $XXX increase in gas cost, lets just say you drive 12,000 miles a year, GTO averages 20 mpg, so that is a total of 600 gal, lets say premium cost what, $2.95?, that is $1770 per year. Ok with the turck you get 14 mpg ( being REALLY nice here), that is 858 gals, at $2.75 for 87 per gallon $2359.5 per year, or a 589.5 increase in gas cost, you already start off negative, you don’t think do you?
Then go tow someones house down the street, or tear down a building with your massive torque. And like above if you had just said I got it because “It’s fucking awesome, huge, and I want to make up for all the econobox owners by consuming what they don’t.” This would have stopped by page 2.
