“Pacman” from K20a.org has been building this car since early 2006:eek2 and the car just dyno’ed this past week. It’s a fully built 102mm stroke K24 with a Full Race turbo kit, GT42RS. He built it to be a street car, and his goal was/is to be able to drive to the track, run 8’s (with change in the ashtray and radio blasting :lmao) and drive home.
Some pics of the car:
The car dyno’ed the other day and here were the results:
32psi @ 5300RPM - 530whp
32psi @ 9700RPM - 771whp
He plans to run 48-50psi and break 1000whp, which I think will be NO problem seeing as he’s making ~770whp @ 32psi.
GT4202R is 74mm inducer. 102 exducer on the compressor side
exhaust wheel is 82mm
compressor rating for the turbo is 700-1000hp but every engine makes power differently, and ofcourse forcing the turbo out of its optimal efficiency range could yield more power, at the cost of shorter lifespan.
this turbo is comparable to the PT74DBB
the BWS372 is slightly smaller, but the compressor wheel of the S372 is a very efficient design, which is why it can make such big power figures.
Joe, just a little info, the closest size to an 84mm inducer for a Garrett turbo is the GT4508R. at 81.6 with a 108 exducer.
rated at 1100hp.could always get a GT5533R which is a T6/91m turbo :lol lots of nitrous will help spool it!
