:facepalm how much did you pay?
take your time and feel free to ask me any questions. but make sure you research it before you ask me because most questions can be answered by searching on the tex. and dont listen to most of the bs on here. people bash vw’s because they dont know or dont have the patience to work on them. so they say it sucks and move on. take your time and you’ll do fine.
most of the problems are due to lack of maintenance. if one system fails, it stresses everything else, and it just spirals from there(because most people dont fix the issue when it arises). i think part of the reason i had no issues was because i was ontop of maintenance and upkeep. i was practically the original owner of mine since the mileage was so low at delivery, if something was out of place or didnt seem right i addressed it immediately

yep, its all about keeping it in top shape. Dont let the little shit build up and become big issues. But thats really with ANY platform really.
And for all the VW’s know it alls, <sarcastism, the build quality on a VW vastly outshines many other $$$ compairable platforms. The pieces are well thought out for the most part but sure some are a royal pain in the ass, but again EVERY car is like that. A real mechanic can work on and fix anything… do your homework kids.
If you get it running 100%, in stock form. Keep the mods simple and you will be driving it for 200kmi. Get at me about the exhaust, I will hook you up with a sweet sounding set of pipes.
