I’m posting this for the service department at my work, UBMicro. If you have any questions about the job, please ask them. I see a few people posting about looking for jobs, so I thought I’d throw this out for those intersted. It’s pretty laid back in the service department. We are hitting our busy season now and need temp work.
We presently have a several temporary Student Bench Technician positions available at UBMicro. These positions will run thru 9/30/06 with the possibility of an ongoing student position throughout the year. More detail about the position is posted on our UBMicro web site.
I would like to consider you for one of these temporary positions. If you are interested, contact me ASAP.
Sincerely,

Not sure. Probably depends on your qualifications. We have a few positions open here including sales. I think some positions start at $8.00, but what do I know.
OT: were you working transfer orientation today? i saw a joe sitting at the ubmicro table and i was gonna say hi but for some reason i pictured you being older. i’m the big guy who was wearing a blue/white striped polo
Yea that was me. They sucker me into it every time. But the nice thing is I get out early and go work on my Camaro. I’m older, but 33 isn’t that old.
The beginning transfer orientations are ok, but as they progress closer to back to school, the new students get worse. I think they are still breastfeeding off their mom before they come into the union.
remeber everyone that attends UB, you can get your free copy (or 5 bucks i forget) of MS office go into ub micro and grab it… camarojoe would love to see you
More than anything, I hate doing that. I’m like a damn tape recored saying the damn speech afterwards. I’ve been there for 5+ years and I don’t want to even think about how many times I’ve said it.
Thankfully we have some temps working now that cash people out, ect and frees me up to do the important stuff of my job.
“Microsoft Office can be installed on 2 computers that you own. The key code is on the back of the first cd. This is the only copy of Office 2003 (2004) that you will ever be able to receive so do not lose it or give to anyone.”
I almost say it word for word every time. And then 3 out of 4 people will follow up with the dumb ass question, “How many computers can I install it on?” or “Can get two copies?”
Give me 8 hours of consulting people on computers or doing research and I’m happy. Put me behind a counter saying that speech over and over, makes me want to kill someone.
