Mine is en route from GameFly, but I think I’m going to try to find a place to rent it today so I can get started.
It’s like The Sims mixed with a racing game. You can form clubs, cruise the city with buddies, hang out at someones garage and check out their collection of cars, etc.
Looks awesome.
My XBox Live gamertag is IlyaKolo for anyone that gets it.
Yeah, I had TDU for PC as well, but I had a cracked version which had bugs so I didn’t really play it. But I did like the concept. This looks very good, and connecting with a bunch of people online is even better.
I’m getting it from GameFly which then gives me a “keep” price of $39.99. $10 less than retail.
I saved like $30 between the ‘keeping’ of Assassins Creed 3 and NFS: Hot Pursuit. Getting this and Shift 2 from them and then most likely keeping at least TDU2 as long as it’s not a bunch of fail (judging from the articles, it’s not).
If you hit a light pole, your car just STOPS. I understand a tree or something, but a sign or a pole? Come on. Let the race continue!
Graphics are okay. NFS: HP is better and Forza is obviously on another planet.
I’m going to give this another hour or two and if I don’t like it enough to keep by then, back it goes. I expected more going on what the videos were talking about.
It’s gotten a little better as I’ve progressed in career mode and have gotten used to the game physics/mechanics…but yeah…I’d say wait till you can get it pre-owned for half the price. Not worth getting it new.
I’ll most likely beat the GameFly copy, send it back, and NOT buy it.
