Testing waters: 84 Trans Am

Contemplating selling my car to put the money toward a new truck.
84 Trans Am 5.0 305. 750cfm Rochester q.jet carb. 700R4 with shift hardening kit. 4x disc brakes (front rotors were replaced last year, rear calipers 2 years ago). undercarriage is in amazing shape! I’ve owned it for 4 years now and other than the first summer I had it, I didn’t really beat on it that much as I didnt want to break it. It would make an amazing project car. I’ve never driven it in snow.

The only real problems it has (other than a few cosmetic problems), is the hatch does not open, doors dont lock, and it has a blown pinion bearing in the rear end.

testing waters on it as I do really like this car (it was my first decent non pos beater vehicle). Make an offer and if it sparks my interest we’ll talk. feel free to ask any questions.

starting bid?
what kind of an offer are you looking for?

$1500ish maybe. Not exactly sure what its worth to be honest. Like I said, the body is in great shape. Everyone who has seen the undercarriage of that car has mentioned how great of shape its in. The thing is solid as the day it rolled off the line, which isn’t common in a 26 year old unibody car from the north.

Fuck, I’m almost tempted hahah

I drive past this car quite a bit, and from the road, it looks pretty good…

Glws brooooooooo

Oh yeah. odomiter is at 58,222mi. Not sure if it is 158k or just 58k. I’d imagine due to its age that it is 158k, but can’t say for sure as I have only put 9k miles on it since i’ve owned it. It has a few dents that arent in the pics because those pics are a few years old. Other than the dent in the rear end and a scrape (from when some jackass ran me off the road while I was parking at one of Twizted’s parties and there were cars on both sides of the road and scraped against a tpost), and the driver side ground effect is cracked from the fucktards at sears who dont know how to jack up a fucking car correctly. I’ll take pics tomarrow, though be warned, it hasnt been washed in a while.

bumpage

That’s a pretty good price, I got my v6 car in pretty similar(actually worse because mine had a bra hiding a bunch of damage on the nose) condition about 2 years ago for $1500. Good luck selling it.

$1500 seems like a good deal for such a solid car. underside probably looks pretty close to this

minus the crazy exhaust.

Fuck Yeah!

Turbojohnny, that is correct

Like I said. I posted 1500 becuase I wasnt sure what it was worth, and I know people like to lowball a lot. I would like to get more, but I did already say 1500. I was going to putit up for 2k. but figured someone would lowball me to said amount anyways.

hah, I would have lowballed you, way low. but I don’t need another one of these. or even another car for that matter.

hopefully you’ll find a buyer!

thats a huge carb for such a small motor lol Not a bad roller for a transplant though…1500 if fair, you’ll have a hard time getting more, especially in the middle of january…

im sellin it now cuz if I wait till spring im just puting in back on the road lol.

PM me your phone number. For some reason this car is causing a little blood flow.
