I was in the lake last night a cut my foot pretty bad on a sharp rock (about .5"-1" deep x 3" long). I got out of the water and washed it off and held a towel on it until the bleeding stopped… got home and treated it with peroxide, then hit it with some neosporin and a bandage. You think I have anything to worry about? I’m a bitch when it comes to needles and I can’t remember the last time I got a tetnis shot
tetnis is usually for like rusty metal…i would think a rock would be ok…call ur doctor and ask
peroxide is baddddddddd. it kills bacteria and your skin cells
8 years on a tetanus shot though… its worth it to get it.
well… for one
and “Tetanus can be prevented by vaccination. A booster vaccine is recommended every ten years, and standard care in many places is to give the booster to any patient with a puncture wound who is uncertain of when he or she was last vaccinated.”
loooks like 10 years is the number
Tetanus is the worlds most preventable disease. Just go make sure you’re immunized and if needed get the shot. It’s no big deal.
Just do what I do: I’m a little squirmish of needles as well, and before getting a shot, I’ll punch myself in the face and then think about how much less the needle is going to hurt.
You should see the looks on the nurses’ faces
