Ha it is mine now and yes it was better before but had probaly $10,000 more into it
It’s still nice just was nicer before, suprised you didn’t comment on the fact that is has an sr in it and not a 2jz
^ Pretty sure thats why it was nicer before lmao
Still looks good dude.
if you swapped an RB20 in there i would have banned you
SR20’s i got all the time in the world for
Markd1, nice! That car rocks so hard! I loved it with the R33 wheels, but looks good with the hanabi’s too!
Slide_junkie
Dave briggs
Apple sauce
Darian, your car looks good witha roof chuckles
My car’s evil twin! Paint is in better shape on yours though

rb25/26’s give you more of the tone you are thinking of, unless the rb20 is chris melo’s old one…then it’s sexy!

I’m saying chris melo(87s15lt1) for his beautiful red s13 hatch, a clean, functional reliable decently quick car built by him properly
^because sr’s are awesome lol, and pretty sure the 2j was parted
Ya car was parted out, I bought the shell
either the green s13 coupe (bucky’s i think) or bradens.
so much character.
ok makes sense now

ill stick with my kat thankkkssss!
bradens car has character but no where near best car on son
kat? what happened to rb27 build or the vg build?
rb is chilling still coming together …ever looked at how much it costs to build an rb properly lollll
LOL! Braden, thanks for the shout out on built proper. Yes, it is. I’ve lost so much interest in the car, and it shows how ever. Best car on SON? For sure, it is NOT.
SR’s are for the trendy and cheap. Any one can swap that shit. SO much support for SR’s. Man up and do something different. Not that anything is different now a days, but if you have a brain, you understand what I’m saying.
Now Bing, I remember you beggin me to rev the shit out of my RB20 at your meet 2 years ago…Ban?
SR’s suck fuckin shit. Rocker arm, timing chain vs timing chain, NO rockers. RB more power out of stock engine. L4 vs L6 < end
Edit - should have said. RB20’s with bolt ons hold more power than SR’s with bolt ons.
yea i did, thats why i said fuck the skyline lol. costs way to much to make power with it when i can make even more power on the same budget with an sr. but rb’s do sound soooo bad ass
not exactly true…but $$$$ and reliabilty go hand and hand …you want to do a proper swap it takes money, you want to be a fag and toss a fancy oilpan and intake manifold and run 15psi daily and call it a build with all stock internals and gaskets that’s gay,and going to blow up. i heart the RB motor, i’m personally more of a 25 guy and i could bolt a holset on for like 300$ and make goooddd power, but lose any reliabilty and i dont roll like that.
im not doing a cheap build lol, ive been investing money in parts all winter long lol. although some are now useless and someone should buy them please
RB20s are garbage. Anyone who has done both a RB20 and SR20 knows that I’m talking about. In theory, yes it is better due to its head design and short stroke, but in practice, the SR gives much better results.
- RB comes with a shitty ceramic turbo
- RB is long and heavy, which noticeably makes the car understeer more
- the RB looks so homo with the factory intake mani
- people think that only the 26 has oil starvation issues, but 20s do as well. Bolt on some wide R comps and go to Mosport GP and you’ll see
- Gay timing belt
- the RB is an older engine design, and is less reliable
- takes years to get up to temp
The only benefits of the RB20 is that its cheaper, has a factory T3 mani, has top feed injectors and sounds dope.
There are no and have never been any long term high profile, highly competitive CA’s or RB20’s in Southern Ontario ever… to the best of my knowledge.
No mega dyno queens, not serious drift cars… Briggs, Sasha, Dan, Me, all the S1DC guys, all the GTA guys that i’ve ever known, all the customer cars i’ve seen come and go… anything fast and awesome was SR 80% of the time and KA-T the rest of the time… ‘different’ is less important than fast, reliable, economical, efficient, easy…
i build cars to drive them, not to fix them all the time and be frustrated with parts availability, lack of support, information etc. etc.
hence my on-going joke about how RB’s and Ca’s suck.
in all of my conversations with Dan about his experiences with tuning every RB26 he’s seen was on motor 2,3,4 or more…
and not to mention if you rev bounce an rb off redline on stock oil pump say bye bye engine lol, and not to mention the absolute lack of room in the engine bay to do any work
