The BEST SON240sx cars ever...

RB is an older engine design that was out for so long why? Because it is good. The number of times I have had to open my hood or any other RB powered cars hood for drive ability issue’s in comparison to SR’s is ridiculous. Stock for stock, I would take an RB20 over an SR20 ANY day. Not to mention that SR’s sound horrible, RB’s sound amazing :slight_smile:

I could get more into this, but I’m not going to do so. Especially since this thread is about the best car on SON (which is not mine) and not SR20 v.s RB20.

Don’t bash my opinions :slight_smile:

i can split it into the engine debate thread and we can continue…

you had a super clean stockish RB20 so i am sure you didnt have many issues. i dont doubt the stock sound of an rb20 is better than an sr.

that said, a well-boosted and properly tuned SR with a Reinhard semi-ti catback sounds as good as anything on this planet

are you kidding, rb20 sounds greaaat, better than SR… but again everyone has different opinions. IMO any inline 6 just plain sounds ridiculous turbo or not… 4 bangers sound well… like weed mobiles mostly… heh… a modded SR20DET does sound nice though.

lol beat me to it

couldnt get away with that shit in Ontario.

It looked like it was an event of some kind, but still I agree. You’d have everyone and their mother within a kilometer radius complaining that it’s “noise pollution” here, even if it was a legit event. :\

^lol so true -_-;

if we are going to argue about the best sounding Nissan motor, Chris would problably agree that;

VH45DE (dual cherry bombs - not sure what chris runs) OWNS ALL

he didnt get to hear ir for long enough :slight_smile:

I remember a VH45DE-made into a TT at one of Bings meets. The motor was fucked and I could hear some mad piston slap. Yet the exhaust tone was sweeeeeeet.

Still, best sounding Nissan engine on straight pipe belongs to the RB family. Not so much the 26’s but. Meh

Worst sounding Nissan engine on a straight pipe…VG30DE or SR20DE/T

i love the sound of an sr on straight pipe, especially with a built top end and big cams :slight_smile:

I love the sound of a rb25 with a straight pipe. But back on topic best cars of son i think ronnies rb coupe was nice

x2

x3 vh45de = wow

some guy built a 5liter stroker that reved to like 10k rpm O_O imagine… ill try to find the video later. The closest nissan engine sounding to a ferrari or some kinda exotic.
