I was rearended by an F-350 with a snow plough mount (just the mount not the plough) on it Sept 10th 2001.
My poor Sentra’s (what I drove at the time) trunk was completely caved in, and since some dude flew planes into some buildings in the states the next day it took MONTHS for my parts to come across the border and I was stuck driving a Old Alero…
The dude had already STOPPED and then leaned down to pick up something from the floor of the cab and just rolled into me… Thanks to the plough and the 200lb-ft at idle of the vehicle it destroyed the back end when a normal car probably would have scuffed it.
Got hit on driveside door when my car was parked once. Not note.
Second hit I got rearended and that was the end of my 240.
I’ve had numerous close calls with curbs, damn things.
I’ve had one accidnt and about 10 minor dents form various driving “experiences” except hoppin an island in the rain, everything else was other people’s fault.
Some idiot decided to turn into a Petro Canada gas station without signaling. If he had of kept driving another 30 feet ish, there wan another entrance. We were doing approximately 30km’s when I hit him. I just had no where to go and it was so unexpected. Oh well, what can you do.
DAMAGE - twisted upper rad support, busted reebar, broken passenger side headlight, dented passenger side fender, twisted bumper, broken passenger side turn signal, busted washer bottle, broken radiator b/c of my intake, dented intake and kinked hood with every spot weld popped.
All that doing about 30, I still don’t believe it. He had almost no damage.
I put it in a small ditch when I was going threw an intersection and some idiot desided not to stop so i had to punch it to get past him and slid into a ditch.
My first 240 was a pearl green Zenki S14. I had it for exactly 2 weeks, one late March freak snow storm I left the house to go to work, 3 minutes later I was in the ditch. I hit black ice on the service road. The car went straight off the road, I had tons of time to try everything ie: threshold braking, e-braking, gunning it, steering, all did nothing. I took out 5 2.5" galv. fence posts, went under the fence, and took out an 80 km/h sign(now in my garage), all at 60 km/h.
Damage: Both airbags deployed, driver side rocker crushed into door, pass side tie rod end, bumper stuff, fence dragged over and scratched every single panel.

Insurance gave me $2500 more than what I payed for it, so I bought another one that I couldn’t previously afford. This one was a Red Zenki aswell, but had 50’000 km’s and was the most mint car i had ever seen! I had it for a year and a half, then one night, two days after spending $2300 on new rims and tires, I got rearended by an 82 yr old guy in a hyundi pony. He was doing 70 km/h and didn’t even touch the brakes. He hit me and pushed me into my brother-in-law’s mint '96 integra that he had lowered that day!
Damage: He had 3000 damage and mine was:

I used the insurance money from that one to buy my house, and 2 years later I finally found my babey, a Kouki S14 fully loaded. I drove this one into the side of the escarpment in Stoney Creek one night. I was going too fast in the rain around a corner and slid my driver side front end right into the side of the mountain while I was going up it. I put a new headlight in($460), a new bumper, and a front end paint job. That sucked!!! Oh well, she is coming off the road now, no more black ice for my 240.
hmm slammed into my windstar have a 2foot dint behind drivers door, backbumper missing paint, curbed a volk hopping a hurb, busted my seat thru the floor hoping a curb, curbed same volk parking to close to the curb at Gf’s house, volk went flying off the car @100kph when wheelbearing went and wheel studs snapped, slammed tranny on speedbump numerouse times(car’s to low!) hit coutlouse rocks upnorth and bent tc rods and brackets. Busted frontbumper off few times, ran it over once, Car fell off flatbed and bent the crap outta front bumper, jack damage on rocker. Etc etc etc.
None of this damage happened by driving like an idiot and sliding aroud on public streets…go figure.

no, it was a block of pavment across the middle of the road, not a curb on the side of the road, same color as the pavement and perpendicular to my direction of travel
Thank God none so far, I have scratched my car before but that’s about it…As for close calls …Oh man I can’t even count how manytimes I have saved that car…and my self. And Im not just talking about little minor fender benders im talking high speed close calls that could off put me and my car out of service. All I can say is thank God for giving me all these chances and thank the great people at Nissan for building a great car that has realy great responsive stearing, braking and handeling (with a few upgrades).
