There has been a special policy on many of the affected cars for years. Honestly not that many of them fail and the ones that do are due to people hanging excessive weight from the key chain. Also it’s not an all of a sudden issue, the key and lock cylinder will start sticking and be very difficult to turn or remove before it fails.( normally it actually gets stuck in run and we have to pull the fuel pump fuse or battery cable). While it’s sad people were hurt it’s really another case of the dumbing down of our country.
lol I was gone for a few months but its good to see some things never change. Hatehatehatehatehate
The whole Toyota “stuck pedal” thing is a joke… How stupid are today’s drivers for not just putting the car in neutral, and moving over and then turning off the car. Doesn’t seem like a big issue. Then again my mom had her TB stuck open by a windshield wiper blade that fell in to the engine bay (oddly enough on a Toyota 4runner lol), her reaction after flying down the highway was to throw it in park in the middle of the highway. Not exactly smart lol.
I love how #Jam totally ignores your findings
Hashtag jam !
you need to learn how to use # / @ properly
@ = tag a person by screen name
= tag a common word or phrase
for example
@Jam, you seem to really love those #hondas #honda #vtec #siq #vtecpwnzj00
and as far as responding to @JayS's post, every car company will have their problems. its how they deal with them that really counts. no company or person is infallible. how that company responds to mistakes is what matters. GM tried to cover up a known problem for 7 years! thats insane. accountability is what matters, and it seems that GM doesnt give a fuck. IDK how anyone can continue to support this company.

ha my hate is not unfounded. its based on facts. for example, i used to hate on ford, but ive changed my tune after having the opportunity to drive the new fiesta, focus and cmax. they’re good cars! much better than they used to be. a focus / fiesta is actually on my list of possible daily drivers when i buy in a few months!
i still hate Chrysler products though! they suck!
Drive the new CTS, a V-sport if you can get your hands on one. I went in for a $100 visa card for test driving one and ended up buying two weeks later. I cross shopped with Benz, BMW, and Infiniti and it was no comparison.
Then drive a C7. Then try to tell yourself that GM still doesn’t make good cars.
Those cars aren’t anything close to what I’m looking for in a vehicle, or can afford for that matter. Sub-20k is what I’m going for. Does GM make any fuel efficent, reliable vehicles in that price range? Close to 40 mpg is a must. I have a motorbike, and a fun car already. I just want an appliance to drive to work when I feel like driving a car that has a complete interior, and no roll cage.
Also being recalled are the company’s line of 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 pickups, as well as 2015 Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe and GMC Yukon and Yukon XL SUVs equipped with six-speed automatic transmissions.
The truck and SUV recalls involve approximately 490,200 vehicles that may have a transmission oil cooler line not securely seated in its fitting. If the line is not secure and transmission oil leaks from the fitting, the oil could contact a hot surface and cause a vehicle fire, the company said.
…
Yeah that would be a good thing on a conventional trans. vehicle or a M/T, but does the Prius let you go to neutral when going forward at a decent rate? I’ve driven a few for work but never had the pleasure.
They do. People are just idiots
Awesome:
That was so good. I really need to start watching his show

it’s wonderful that they are getting burned for cheaping out on everything over the years.
i’ve never owned or bought a GM product… i drive a couple that are in the company fleet and damn are they shit… the 2011 Cadillac SRX we have is one of the worst cars i have ever driven.
it looks nice and people respond to it, but what a hunk of shit that just keeps breaking and costing more and more money.
Too big to fail…
Honestly your Aveo catching fire is the best possible outcome of purchasing an Aveo.
lol, about 20 Aveos of that year range are still on the road because all the timing belts on the others have snapped at 60k.
My sister in law had one for a minute. It sucked. Her husband kept saying that it broke all the time because it was a luxury car lol. It has since been replaced with a highlander that her (and her 2 kids) love
he drives an envoy that they’ve had for a long time, well over 100k now. It’s actually been a pretty decent car for them, surprisingly
if the SRX were a sports car that delivered a shit-ton of intangible value it might be worth it… but it isn’t even as nice as a Ford Edge.
