yea, to a buddy. Everything is/was for sale! haha.
I have a near identical set of leathers for racing and even though they are older, are still pretty damn nice for the money.
the guy who says “choppa” instead of “chopper” and/or the guy who refers to almost any bike as a “chopper”
That thing was really clean. Shame. I liked it.
PM what you let it go for, if you want. Curious.
PM Walker or I once out here man, esp if you get a bike. I’m saving up for something more ‘daily-able’ and I think @XwalkerX is pushing for a Harley, LOL
All in all, good luck man. I’ve got some good South OC perspective for you and Walker has solid North OC/ Long Beach/ San Diego perspective. We can help!
I only suggest Harleys because I put on so many miles living out here.
Dont get me wrong, my speed triple was awesome but got old quick with my 50 mile work commute.
The ability to strap gear to a sissy bar, sit upright and lean back makes for a way more comfortable ride out here…
I always say it in my Arnold voice if that helps.
$1300 and it needed a carb diaphram (unknown to me at the time)
a carb boot… super cheap.
Considering… thats not bad for the market back home.
That bike out here (you should have kept it) would have pulled 3k easy. Its fucked up, I know.
yea but shipping it across country twice nulls any price benefit. hence everything being for sale. lol.
A carb boot is not the same as a carb diaphram.

VS
Word… that’s my bad… but also cheap…
so how much for the sled, and you have any gear?
The sled is the one thing I regret selling. Bought it from @Birdman64, put 140 miles on it that next Saturday, then the snow melted. I’ve since converted it to a 4 wheel rear axle, put a white hood/console on it, added the white shock covers, and bought new hood straps.
This is the info I got from him:
This sled has 55xx on it, I have a top end kit for it not installed (SDI’s are known to go 10k+ but i bought it incase. Has 148/150 psi compression still) Injectors cleaned, Bronze a-arm bushings studded 1.25" ripsaw, new battery for the SDI, bogey wheels were gone through and replaced skid was out and greased, brand new balljoints in package still, will be installed. Sled is straight it was completely torn down and gone over. Heat exchangers are in great shape, it never had a studded track previously. Prev owner bar swapped it at one point so lost the heated grips ($50 for nice RSI heaters)
Never got the top end kit and the ball joints are not installed although I don’t think it needs them.
as it sits now:
I’d like to get close to $3500 for it. I have a ski doo modular helmet that I got for christmas and some old size 12-13 polaris boots. other than that I just wore my old snowboarding pants and a winter jacket.
Also comes with a travel cover, the sled deck I built for it (check the snowmobile thread I think), most of a gallon of amsoil oil, the original black hood/console, the shop rollers, and 2-5 gallon cans of ethanol free gas. I am going through Buffalo on saturday and can deliver no charge if we strike a deal.

edit: no my tool box is not for sale. thats worth storing. haha.
il pass the word on the sled to my buddy. I might buy the helmet if you wanna sell me that. post some pics
I hold onto the helmet until the sled sells. I might keep the sled at my gfs parents in oswego and ride during christmas if it doesn’t sell.
Man 45 minutes to everywhere, I’m so spoiled in SD. I put about 50-100 miles on my car a week, mostly back and forth to the gym. But it sounds like NYSpeed has you covered from every direction except the east, and east county is :uhh: anyway.
haha yea I’m hoping I can leverage you guys for housing and job leads in a month or two.
Good luck dude. I bought a Grand Marquis, put all my shit in it and drove down to Texas with basically garbage bags filled with clothes. Nothing else.
Yea thats basically the plan. fresh start really.
It seems like a truck camper would be a great thing to have when people do this.
still have motocrossx23’s GS cafe bike? for sale?
