The insurance verdict.

After the adjuster failed to show up for 2 appointments (and saying he was there for one and wasn’t) I got to give him a good verbal owning over the phone and got it assessed today.

Alright heres the verdict for my car.

Damage being covered:

  • New doors. They did damage to both trying to get in.
  • New lock cylinders. They broke both lock cylinders (I didn’t even notice because I locked them with the buttons) after the fact.
  • New doors, new paint on them.
  • New interior panels on doors.
  • New carpet for the whole car.
  • New front seats.
  • New a/c cables and and controls (not salvageable).
  • New radio pod.
  • New radio trim.
  • New center console trim.
  • New wiring harness (2).
  • New (or rebuilt) steering column.

$2896.68 worth of damage assessed, not including the BEST news- they’re covering my Head Unit because it “bolts in a stock location in place of a factory component.” SWEET!! No sub and amp, but I’ll live.

Almost everything is being replaced with GM reproduction parts!

I won’t have her back for a while, but at least its in a heated garage!

sweet…glad it works out for ya

ya i spoke with one of the guys i worked wit whos daughters car got broken into and stole her head unit… they said find a receipt that you bought it and fax it to us and we will cover it… i was shocked

glad to see you are getting everything worked out though

Good to hear!

x2

sucks that it happened but glad it’s being fixed.

Good to hear!
But why three threads on the same subject?

^^ yeah?!?

Good news though, how long did they say until work begins?

damn gm parts are cheap for my cars that would have been nearin 7k, good job getting it fixed tho
