I’m hoping someone comes out with a full rubber case to protect the back as well. The bumper is fine for now but the added protection wouldn’t hurt.

Ya I just reserved mine at the Apple store. Was debating dropping the iPhone but decided that the battery life on it was the biggest seller on top of the awesome display. Even tho in some rare places like Vermont my service gets spotty, I cant give up my 20% discount on ATT and pay $50 more a month on Verizon for a similar plan.

No. Apple store you can get put on a email list and they will hold it for one day. They said 7-10 days. I am on the list aparently as of last wednesday and have not seen an email yet saying mine is there 
My brother in law managed to walk in and buy one. He heard the store was getting a shipment, showed up, got the last one.

Actually just got off the phone with Apple. I reserved mine with my name and email last Wednesday and I called them today since they told me I would receive a few emails when its there and that I am on the list and I never did and the girl told me its actually there now. Taking lunch at 11 since I am stuck in a datacenter all afternoon and going to grab it.
If I upgrade my phone from 3g to 4g does the old phone become useless, or can I still use it as an iPod?

Useless in a sense of a backup phone since the new iPhone uses a micro SIM card and the old one uses the standard one. You can sell it, add it to another line, use it as an iPod, etc.
On a side note, just got back from the Apple store. Left my office and in 30 min I was back with my iPhone4. This thing is crazy fast compared to my 3G and the display is awesome.
might get a hand-me-down 3G to try for free, (can’t knock it till you try the koolaid i guess…) can i hot swap the sim out of my Nokia into a 3G with an unlimited data plan and not have issues? or do i need to call and change to an iphone plan and thus lose my “unlimited status”?
you should be fine, long as you have a data plan
Just make sure its a $30 unlimited data plan. If you are on the old $20 iphone data plan or the blackberry, you may be auto upgraded.
Also if you are unlimited data, you have the option to keep it. Just make sure you tell them to keep it when you upgrade.

I still can’t believe Apple won’t incorporate flash into the iPhone. This may be my 2nd and last Apple product if they don’t change their ways. So I guess I’m heading to Verizon in about 2 years or so…
