You mean an operating system with sandbox exploits and allow you to overwrite the built in ROM has bad security?
That that isn’t even 1/2 the problem. Haha

I realize Apple isn’t perfect but iOS has the majority of market share yet Android has 1000% more malware.
iOS has the majority of market share?
Woops :-p
I thought I read recently it was higher then android
Edit: It seems closer then the above chart http://articles.businessinsider.com/2012-03-29/tech/31253171_1_iphone-android-3gs
Android is too complicated and too open. They have a cool concept but with all the different vendors with all the different providers using their own applications and roms, its just a awful platform.
You think about it, Android has more devices available so it typically would have a higher market share but for Apple to be such a driving force and so big for having one OS that runs on one new device a year is a pretty amazing business plan that it actually works for them.
I do love the simplicity of the iOS. Anyone can pick it up and learn it. For the hacker types, Android is cool and fun to tweak but over all, I love the quality of Apple phones and the OS is simple for anyone to learn.
The real issue is all of the fucking Apps you install that require an insane amount of permissions and nobody really cares what its asking for…they want to play Angry birds or whatever app.
ehh, that’s not really even the root of the major issues.
Watch the talk and see that Georgia is able to use No-Permission apps do all sorts of things and read all sorts of data that it shouldn’t be able to without the permissions. She takes a no-permissions app and sends the phone’s IMEI via SMS out of your phone. Clearly shouldn’t be allowed to happen, and it does. She then goes on to show how she can de-compile an app from the market, implant her code, re-compile the app, and then do the same thing, all the while looking the same as a popular game in the market. Then since the market is so open, you could publish it in the market with slightly different icon and idiot people would install it and run it without batting an eye.
You mean my flashlight app shouldn’t be asking to access my contacts, email, network, and system settings?
While you two nerds bitch it out, did anyone else see iCloud Tabs for browsing in iOS6 and how funny it is Yahoo’s cool Axis app is now useless.
iCloud Tabs = Google Chrome tab sync. Just another stolen feature. SUE!
I just found out you can deny permissions on facebook for apps. Would be nice if Android had that. Instead it’s either agree to the permissions or don’t use the app.
I love Chrome for my phone, syncs everything and has come in handy quite a few times.
Anyone know where I can get a LEGIT battery for an Iphone 4? Nothing but garbage on ebay and amazon. What does the apple store charge?
Ya I never understood that. It is an all or nothing thing.
Apple store sells them but they are sold as a refurbished iPhone 4.
Here is a online retailer that has what you need.

First decent iOS malware in the App Store. Not a horrible key logger or anything but still annoying as hell and malicious.

So the trick is make a legit app then keep modding it over time to become malicious…
and wtf you never trust anything Russian on the internet.
The ‘0xBEEFDEAD’ and ‘0xFACEDEAD’ is also funny
Ya. Apple reviews one that takes a week and then updates are a lot quicker. there is apps that sneak through all the time so it isn’t a huge thing. I don’t see Apple being able to proxy all data connections and see what gets sent but surprised in their super Apple mode that can see what system apps like contacts and personal data a app tries to access.
Ya that was pretty old but was pretty cool. Most apps went HTML5 since you update them dynamically with calls and not have to keep getting stuff approved.
Speaking of apps… Did anyone see this in the buffalo news?

Probably fake. Would hope they make the phone a little better than this.
^ I’m willing to bet that’s legit.
