THE **iPhone** Thread (GPS, JailBreak, Apps, Etc)

OH SNAP A MALE SIRI

No new iPhone?

too early for next iphone… I’m hoping for sooner as my 4 is getting pretty old and slow

So we’re expecting we’ve got to wait until fall for that announcement?

well, once again, I feel underwhelmed. The redesign looks nice and all, but nothing really earth shattering here.

Frankly, I am more excited about OSX Mavericks than I really am about iOS7. Since we’re not going to see a new phone till fall, I am hoping that they announce a larger device.

People who are underwhelmed shouldn’t follow WWDC events

The new Mac Pro is sweet and so it the Air

Oh and the new airport extreme with 802.1ac

i agree the mac pro looks awesome and so does the air. 12 hour battery life is baller. I guess I sort of had my hopes up on the mobile front for a new iphone… not sure why I didn’t realize they’d be coming later in the summer.

I’m definitely excited to get Mavericks. I am also in shock that we are no longer seeing big cat names. I love the name Mavericks, though, and the emphasis on waves. I like the work they’ve done to free up memory by compressing inactive memory. I REALLY like the work done with throttling CPU usage based on app visibility. IE, not chewing cpu cycles on things the user can’t see. That was a great idea, and I am sure a difficult implementation.

It’s cool they’re doing VPN settings per app

That’s going to be really cool for the enterprise. I wonder how that will integrate with AnyConnect?

The other badass thing is the Activation Lock so that should greatly cut down on iPhones getting stolen.

Gonna be interesting to see how that plays out. Stupid thieves will still be stupid thieves. At least they’re trying to deter the thefts.

can anyone activate udids?

Yay, Apple is going to take a bunch of buggy Android shit and show them how it’s supposed to work.

hey, no bashing/fanboi shit. this is america, the land of choice. i like competition.

Hey, I love competition, and I can admit when Apple releases something that works/looks nice. However calling stuff revolutionary when it’s clearly been done before is a bit absurd.

Not when you know people will buy it.

Like I said before, they could wrap a brick in foil, call it the new iPhone and people would be lined up around the block to get it. They know how to market.

I just love how when people copy 90% of the iphone it’s competition, but if the iphone copies 2% then it’s stealing

remember: ew it’s only got a touchscreen I’m not giving up my keyboard.

I don’t think anyone is going to deem this software “revolutionary”. It’s a good step forward. The redesign looks awesome.

Probably the cylindrical mac pro with the specialized cooling system is the only thing really revolutionary.

Yea the confusion here is the developers and the news make a big deal about WWDC…

Apple didn’t throw together a press release and a huge conference just to launch some new products this is just the opening day/keynote for WWDC.
