THE **iPhone** Thread (GPS, JailBreak, Apps, Etc)

that’s a really interesting avenue… how they store the fingerprint and how it can be pulled from the device and decoded will be REALLY interesting.

They said “Don’t worry it goes straight to the processor where it gets stored” which is :tif:

yeah, sort of sketchy… I’ll let the brainiacs at the pentest labs hammer on it before I turn up a feature like that.

Does it finally have NFC?

Nope.

Good question. I didn’t see any mention of it.

I honestly am not surprised at the the underwhelming nature of this release. You can’t argue with what they’re doing by just ‘staying in the game’, but if they want to stay known as an innovative company the iPhone 6 better make some serious leaps.

Has anyone used NFC for anything useful? Payments?

I know all that NFC payment stuff isn’t big in the US yet.

I have literally never used the NFC sensor in my phone. It’s been almost 2 years.

I use it to share websites with people rather then sending the link to them in a text message or something. I also used it to buy stuff but not that often

its hard to use NFC when most phone dont have NFC

My windows phone has NFC and I have been looking for actual useful things to do with it.

I have an NFC tag on my phone holder in my car. Every time I put my phone on it the phone says “Do a burnout. You won’t you pussy!”

But I also have one on my laptop. I just tap the phone and it starts internet sharing / hotspot.

I’m curious if you can pwn this with a gummy bear like a lot of finger print readers

I use NFC every morning and night to update all my notification settings so I can sleep but still have the phone ring.

Soon to be for sale, immaculate black AT&T iPhone 5 16gb, has been in a lifeproof case since unwrapped from the original packaging . Will come with everything except lifeproof and apple ears buds. Figure I’d post here and see what offers I get. Pix via text , pm number if interested.

Sent from my iPhone 5

so basically instead of the more expensive 5 selling for 99, they now sell an even cheaper model for the same price

this was an interesting read on why 64bit processors is useless in a smartphone (Specifically the iPhone) currently

and after reading that ill be looking for a used white 64g iphone 5 to buy instead of wasting my upgrade on a 5s or 5c

Also apple has a deal with Walmart. 5c is $79. 5s is 189.

I’m wondering if they did it for future-proof / downwards compatibility later on.

Which is weird because the 5S is 64 bit and the 5C isn’t
