THE **iPhone** Thread (GPS, JailBreak, Apps, Etc)

from the guy that use to manage AOSP, makes some valid points

Yea that was my point everything is moving towards 64 bit I don’t know about a 2 year lock in on a 32 bit phone.

2 years is a REALLY long time in the phone technology world right now.

Honestly, Apple is going to be forward thinking for thier devices. There isn’t much left to pack into a smart phone so a 64bit chipset to unify their OSX and also iOS into a 64 bit platform is a step forward. Initially, it won’t do much since there is the RAM amount and most apps built to run on 32bit paltforms will run inside a virtual space but overall, it is a step forward just as the muti core processors that were in the phones initially.

more registers = more speed brah

for apple/iPhone I would say 2 years would be a good guess since they release only 1 phone a year but for android it will probably be a lot sooner

So useless Samsung has pledged to include them in their next phones =)

There isn’t much Apple does that Samsung won’t copy.

Apple should leak a fake phone design that’s has an unbelievably terrible feature. Like give it pneumatic spikes that pop out of the ear piece if you get a txt while on the phone. Then sit back and watch Samsung brag how they beat Apple to market with this awesome new feature.

Can’t fake fingerprints with gummy bears or chop fingers off and fake it. Maybe if you electrified the fake finger lol.

This is going to be a blessing for court cases

That gummy bear thing works on a lot of stuff because the sensor reads the finger print but some how detects a real finger because of the one pressing it down.

Oh and when I said Apple will find a way to fuck up security something like this

Yeah I have no doubt there will be flaws!

I saw that advisory, been pushing 10.8.5 to all my machines

so that password flaw doesnt apply to people running 10.6 (snow leopard)?

ios7 is out. direct link to ipsw’s

download ipsw, then use itunes to update by hitting alt+update, choose file and away she goes.

I’m liking it more and more.

Still waiting to try airdrop.

I gotta say it looks and feels amazing on my iPad mini

Sent from my iPhone 5

iOS7 is kinda pointless if you have setup your iOS6 jailbreak properly. I will keep my quick reply and status bar notifications.

This is true and I wasn’t going to upgrade. I did because it was starting to slow my phone down and I had to respring more and more.

2 things that’s I had JB that is in ios7 are flashlight on lockscreen and sbsettings (kinda).

I will miss iFile, BiteSMS, Pandora downloader…

I do like ios7 and the stability.

its certainly grown on me in the past 24 hours

the built in level within the compass app is a nice hidden-ish feature. check your camber without going to the alignment shop
