The whole fingerprint/face unlock thing to me is really for novelty.
when I was running yesterday and wanted to bank my fast time by hitting stop on my iphone but had to also enter my passcode (while running) I would have paid anything for the fingerprint.

The only thing I did not like about the 5 was the bezel around the phone was prone to the color coming off. I hope they change the anodized process to make it a bit more durable.
Not likely. Anodizing only impregnates the substrate about 0.002-0.003" while building a layer of about the same thickness on top. I wonder what else they can do besides anodizing for better protection, though.

Yes and no, I have a snapback that still exposes the anodized bezel, which has seen some wear in the ~8 mo i’ve had it.
Unless you go bulky full case, you’ll get that.
Iv had my 5 since release date. So about a year now. Never had a case on it and there is Zero material peeling off.
walked into target last night and got two ATT 16gb in space grey just like a wanted. woohoo. they gave me $100 for my iphone 4 which was in rough shape,
if feels like going from a sentra to a skyline coming from my 3 year old iphone 4.
Why would you buy a device that is visually appealing and cover it in a $10 plastic case that makes it huge? I have had no case on mine and has survived multiple drops.

Phones don’t survive under my care without a case. I’m currently rocking a pink one on my 5s, waiting for a new one in the mail.

if you’ve had every one that means never over a year per phone. I just traded in my 4 that I’ve had for 3 years and never had a case on. It was dinged up, but not bad.
