Probably will go on a for sale/ebay thread. I have been cleaning out my apartment so have a bunch of stuff now I don’t use for anything such as my iPhone 5 and Xbox 360 Slim
Got $199 on eBay for my 16gb Galaxy S3. Threw in a 32gb sd card, iBolt Dock and Drive mount and 3 NFC tags I no longer had a use for.
I have a gazelle trade in for my iPhone 5, 32GB ATT with minor damage for $175 that expires in a week and a half. May ebay with reserve until then
If you’re in good standing with AT&T use their webform to submit your info and get the unlock code for it. Took less than 24 hours for them to send me one.
What’s minor damage? I need a phone till my upgrade time around January.
Ya I did that. I have the unlock order in process. It got held up as I still had some contract days left with it but now that I resigned, its unlockable. Just haven’t done it yet.
Some minor scratches on the screen from 2 years of use and some dents in the metal around the edges. Nothing major, just wear.
If you go the gazelle Route let me know.
I have an open offer from them for $175. If you want it locally for $200 its yours.
When I unlocked my gs3 I just talked to online help person and got it right away.
Picked up a 5s for $150. Thank you though.
That is a good deal. 4, 4S, and 5 are being taken by Verizon for $200 and the 5S is like a $300 gift card or credit.
went to sprint, turned in my 5s and picked up a 6…only because my plan is now cheaper by doing so.
had a bit of trouble syncing my music over but other than that i like it.
thinking i will prob just get applecare vs carrier insurance
That’s what I did over the weekend, the only thing that worries me is that they don’t cover water damage.
I think applecare+ covers accidental water damage, no?
Yep. Accidental damage is covered @$79 a pop. They’ll replace it 2 times when it’s your fault. You just need to show up with enough remains of a phone that they can prove it was the one you put applecare on. Applecare does not cover lost/stolen.
Ha, funny because I asked the lady working that and she said under no circumstances that ANY water damage it is covered even with paying a fee.
looks like i better clarify before i purchase
3.2 Accidental Damage from Handling
If during the Plan Term you submit a valid claim notifying Apple that the Covered Device has failed due to accidental damage from handling (“ADH”), Apple will, subject to the service fee described below, either (i) repair the defect using new or refurbished parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability, or (ii) exchange the Covered Device with a replacement product that is new or equivalent to new in performance and reliability (both individually known as a “Service Event”). ADH coverage will expire and all of Apple’s obligations to you under this section 3.2 will be fulfilled in its entirety before the end of the Plan Term when Apple, as a result of ADH claims, has provided to you two (2) Service Events. ADH coverage only applies to an operational or mechanical failure caused by an accident from handling that is the result of an unexpected and unintentional external event (e.g. drops and liquid contact) that arises from your normal daily usage of the Covered Device as intended for such Covered Device. ADH coverage does not include (a) protection against normal wear and tear, theft, misplacement, reckless, abusive, willful or intentional conduct associated with handling and use of the Covered Device, (b) protection against any other act or result not covered by the Plan, as described in Section 4.2 below, or © any resultant damage to the Covered Device that arises from one or more conditions described in Section 3.2(a) or (b). Apple may ask you to provide an explanation of where and when the accident occurred with a detailed description of the actual event. Apple will deny your claim if you fail to pay the service fee or fail to provide information relating to the accident when asked.
Under AppleCare+ for iPhone, you will pay a $79 (U.S.) dollar (CA$79) service fee plus applicable tax for each ADH claim.
-
Under AppleCare+ for iPad, you will pay a $49 (U.S.) dollar (CA$49) service fee plus applicable tax for each ADH claim.
-
Under AppleCare+ for iPod, you will pay a $29 (U.S.) dollar (CA$29) service fee plus applicable tax for each ADH claim.
