i’m considering switching off of verizon to at&t to get the iphone. i called verizon to ask about my buyout and they were kind enough to offer me 1 year contract pricing on any phone i wanted :rolljerk: i was considering getting the BB storm, but i’m not quite sure its worth it, i’m not a huge fan of the BB platform and the other phones they have are winmo phones and they piss me off. if i were to go to a BB my bill would probably right around what it costs for an iphone. for those of you who have this plan and are comfortable sharing this info, what does your bill come to a month with the iphone, 450 minutes a month, and unlimited texting? i know the bill itself with no taxes and fees is $90, but what does it come to exactly with the taxes/fees. also, do you think its worth it to switch and get the iphone? thanks in advance everyone.
YES if you like the iPhone interface. I dropped Verizon and am not a fan of the BB OS and hated my WinMo phone.

haha, it would be nice if i got that state discount. i’ve been reading more and more about the iphone coming to verizon. does anyone have the real scoop on this? is it seriously gonna happen this time around? please don’t flame, this is a serious question. a quick google search brings up a lot of recent articles.

i’ve also heard of a “lite” version that would be like all of verizon’s other phones, toned down and at less than 1/4 of their potential.
as far as i know same, mine is unlocked so i have full mms its really nice and easy to use. if u read up i guess with at&t there are a few ways to get the mms to work

Just installed redsn0w, when it asks me to “browse” and get IPSW for my CURRENT firmware…where would I find this?
If you have restored your phone and downloaded it with iTunes, its in the C:\Documents and Settings<your user name>\Application Data\Apple Computer\

Sweet thanks, it’s jailbreaking now. Will I be able to plug in to my computer and use iTunes still or does that mess everything up? And will I have my contacts/pictures/ect still or will it be like the phone is brand new?
Also, after adding the cydia.hackulo.us repo thing, what should i install to get the free apps? Installous?
ya it works just like a normal iphone. just anything in jailbroken apps will not sync with itunes which isnt a problem.

ya i think till 2011. GSM is all over the world. Apple wouldn’t produce a second version of the iPhone to be used pretty much only in the USA since CDMA isnt really anywhere outside of this country.
honestly all you need is the FAN number applied to your account and poof. it wont be on verizon at least not for the 3G.

Just next month. If you get ATT to activate it I can add you to my dev account and you can run it. I am running 3.1 beta 3. Its not bad. No major features tho.
