How do you install the carrier settings on the phone when you have 3.1? I guess I’m stuck running 3.1 until they update…

Go to google type in 3.0 iPhone 3g firmware download. Get one and so the shift thing. Were u just trying to use the one off iTunes when u first updated?
No, I had the 3.0 firmware installed previously when I jailbroke my phone before, it won’t let me, the Apple Gods are getting angry lol
If you have a 3G S with 3.1, you can’t downgrade back to 3.0
Apple has to sign firmware before you can restore you phone, and they are only signing 3.1 now. Oh, and you can’t even restore a 3G S without an internet connection…sucks
I did the hack but when i try and send it just sits at the sending status
Try a restart or two. I had to restart mine and wait for it to reacquire the network before it would work.

ya i did a restart, it shows up as it should just wont send.
And I don’t know what add wap.cingular to mms APN means
i updated my carrier file like 3 weeks ago, and im just now finally able to send pics. using 3.0.1
EDIT: and i took out everything that i had typed in the MMS network screen and it still works
i had one go through but it does not seem to work correctly yet
You will get a text message when its enabled. They are starting at 10am and sending them out every hour.

Ya MMS servers will crash by midnight. Its a given when you have 2.5 million people trying to send pictures at once. Haha
