When are 4 rotor eccentric shafts going to come along ? i want a 4 rotor FD!

They’re available, but you could buy a few fully running, very nice 13b FDs for the price of building a 4 rotor.

I wonder if the reason they are stopping at 8200rpm is because of the flame problem. Not to say they can rev to the moon which is a common misconception about them in comparison to piston race engines. Mazda lemans engineers set the rev limit to the r26b to 8500 for durability but I read an article about the engine engineer and he said the engine was tested to 10000rpm in case the competition was close and they needed a “boost” button. He said they were hitting 930hp @ 10k. I am sure this isnt the end of the story on the engine these guys are messing with. Just noticed this too. Racing beats 1400hp 3 rotor modified the housing to a 4 bolt pattern for the exhaust.

Probably only ran it to 8k-ish because of the size of the turbo. All those fireworks on the exhaust side (flames/massive amounts of heat) is because the hotside of that turbo is TINY for what they’re doing. I’d guess it’s game over around 8k because the turbo simply won’t flow enough.

Supposedly the flames are from the flanges being lifted due to all the pressure in the manifold.
