All direct injection engines require rail pressure in that range. Mazdaspeed 3/6, BMW x35 cars, etc…

it’s definitely a lot of pressure. The more power you want to make, the more pressure you need. With the mazda motors, people have issues getting higher pressures on the stock pump, and upgraded pumps cost in the neighborhood of $600. People even still have issues with those pumps. PITA.
