I took my son to see it. It was OK, but he loved it. It was kind of cheesy.
Rumor has it that the director asked to have his name removed from the movie after he saw the final production, lol.

I just read a few more and it appears that I had it wrong. Sommers just plain fucked it up and the production company wanted him fired. But again, just rumors. After hearing some reviews though, they don’t seem to be too far fetched.
Holy shit… that was terrible, best part of the movie was the Sienna Miller vs Rachel Nichols fight

I caught the ice sinking too. It was an okay movie overall, was entertaining for a rainy Sunday afternoon.
I enjoyed it, It exeeded my expectations, and i thought it was worth the money. If you turned off your logic brain, you would have enjoyed it.
And it would be kinda boring if the eiffel tower just groaned and bent over.
The metal was SUPER cold so it splintered, and the ice had metal in it so it sank
