Well I just bought this civic this past weekend from Baltimore, ND. I really couldn’t pass it up only paid $1000 bucks for it and the funny thing is that it runs and everything. After the little sohc vtec motor is sold and all the other parts and rims that where sold off of it I will have the shell for free lol. I was sick of the rhd and the problems i was having with so i thought it was time to build another car that was never touched and all the work will be done myself.
The Right hand Drive shell is gone i plan on putting my built motor, turbo
kit, and fuel system in this coupe…
To Do List…
Rip the single cam motor out
clean up the engine Bay
order a new boost gauge and Wide band
Order some Driveshaft Shop 3.9s or 5.9 axles
Rip the old nasty seats and carpet and put the newer stuff back in
Replace the blue dash with all the black dash and stuff
Maybe a new and bigger turbo and manifold
Make the exhaust fit from the rhd
After all this is done Dennis from “Hybrid” and myself will be throwing it back on the dyno and put a pump gas tune on it and hook up my High/low boost switch and also we might do the Boost by gear dont know yet
well got the single cam motor out today hope to have engine bay cleaned up and the fuel system in tomorrow and start putting the motor in if i have time should have the car ready for paint here by the end of the week… Painting the car at my Girls Uncles Body shop so it should come out good
its a d16z6 its a strong motor drove it myself but it does need a water pump on it for sure the car was sitting for over a year and when the guy started it up the seal on the water pump was gone lol but i want to sell it cheap… I got 2 z6 heads 2 y7 heads a y8 bottom end that needs put back together the z6 motor tranny p28 ecu for like 500 bucks
well just ordered all my new baller gauges and got all the old seats and dash out today… tomorrow im throwing all of my fuel system in and also might start putting the new black dash and shit in just depends on how the fuel system goes… tryin to have it done and runnin before this event on the 30th
i will get some pics tomorrow i for got my card for my camera so i couldn’t take any today but car is coming along good
well here is the new rims on the car, and i got the springs and struts switched over also got the stock fuel tank and fuel lines out. So tomorrow after work im goin to put the sumped tank in and hang all my lines and start putting all the black seats and stuff in if i feel up to it
well motor should be in tomorrow hehehe, but i still got alot of work to do, still got my boost, wide band and tack to hook up once the motor is in, also got the to hook up and wire in a few things to my ecu, but my goal is to have the car running this week sometime just depends on if they got me working damn 12 hour shifts
well its been a few days, but i drove up to Hybrid today to get my catch can from Denis, he had to weld in 2 bungs but now that i have it i can finish putting the motor the rest of the way in and hope to fire it up here in the next coupe days i forgot how much work i had in the green car with having to put all my stuff in this coupe
