no spray yet, bottles full but just been fucking with this carb. i lost count how many pulls we’ve made so far…its having issues when we rev it up stairs. going lean and stumbling out. its a work in progress but jay and joenova are a huge help. so far we are tuning with RWTQ and air fuel until it pulls strong up top. weve gotten rwtq to go up since we started. nearing 800 ft lbs on motor alone :tup:
Nice. Slow and steady w the changes. What’s your jet spread right now? How did u set your idle air screws?
Richen it up until it pulls clean. Then lean it out 1 number primary and secondary. Test again to see if it still pulls good. If you get the a/f near 12.5-1 leave the jetting and open up the air bleeds. That will slightly lean it out but not by a whole jet number, but will emulsify the fuel better. Make sure you are running an n/a plug and not some cold nitrous plug.
These carburetor things are complicated
im beginning to wonder if my carb gaskets are causing a vacuum leak in turn causing a lean condition that no amount of jet will cure…is this possible?
Let it idle. Spray starting fluid around the base. If the idle picks up, you have a leak
