The OFFICIAL Gun Thread.

bought a bunch of .45 today:excited

Thinking about buying a crate of ammr and shooting the shit out of the ak74, but i have no good place or targets to waste a bunch of ammo at

Just bought a complete pre-ban AR lower, and ordering some upper parts now, along with a gun safe.

Also had an issue w/ the S&W M&P9 that I ordered as the people have never shipped it yet, so I had T&V change it to a .40 so I can swap barrel/mag and shoot 9mm or .357 Sig.

which ak74 do you have? like it?

i have a polish tantal 74 and so far its been good.

from LDD? if so i hate you lol.

im looking for a pre ban lower, or two lol.

Yep! Lol Dan is the man. Just bought 11 pre-bans w/ Magpul followers from him too lol.

I was next in line for his glock mags and the lower of u didn’t take it. Ugh!!

Proud new owner of a mossin naggant.

Gonna have to pass on a 762A2 ishapore factory Lee Enfield equivalent that shoots 308.

Now I’ve heard nearly every owner tell me not to dry fire a gun and decided to look into the issue.

It seems that the only guns that get damaged in dry fire is rim fire guns like .22

Just about every modern rifle is center fire and is fine to dry fire

Link for a source, one of many

I even got into a debate with a gun owner who was saying the entirely opposite, saying .22 are fine but don’t dry fire anything else.

Nice pick up i want one now.

LOL, sucks I gotta build another upper, but at least I can put a flash suppressor on it (even though it’s useless really) and enjoy collapsing the stock all day long.

I shot my AR today. Love it. I left my Magpul BUIS tool for sight adjusting at JVG’s house but the sights were almost dead on. Will have to bench rest it for perfect sight alignment though.

I also may order some parts for my 10/22 tonight. I love that gun lol.

Screw you guys. I’m buying a compound bow and a crossbow just in case (partially serious).

Just picked up a slingshot. You always have to one up me.

i dry fire my pistols thousands of times. specially the 1911’s. i like what it does helps break them in a little bit i think. it also gives you a good feel for the trigger. so if im watching football or something i usually play with one of them. if anyone still doesnt like, just use a snap cap.

jerk.

i have an upper im willing to sell.

my brother owns a few rifles and has a CC permit. I know almost nothing about guns. we went to a gun show this weekend in saratoga, almost bought one just cause it was there. there was some high point rifle that fired .45 handgun rounds. thought that was pretty cool and it wasn’t to bad at 350 but it honestly look like it was used even though it was brand new. finish sucked.

there was an AR-15 ‘beowulf’ that fired .50 AE rounds. was very attracted to that but was 1400 ish. went home with nothing and decided to do some research

that gun show sucked this weekend. usually there is more shit and more people.

ive been to that show before and found a lot of cool stuff. unless everything sold on saturday it was terrible on sunday in my opinion.

i didn’t really know what to expect but there was much more old stuff then i anticipated. yeah there were really only a handful of models that i was interested in. was happy to have seen a barett in real life tho lol

Details?

It wasn’t terrible, but I wasn’t expecting much really. I almost bought a Saiga 7.62x39 for $400, but now I’m glad I didn’t cuz I found a deal from Slickguns found a place selling them for $300. Very tempted to buy one and do an AK conversion. Was also looking for an M1 of some sort, but everything there was stupidly overpriced. Cheapest M1 was $1250 or so.

i want a saiga 12 now and i want green dot scopes and i want big fuckign clips

LOVE MY SAIGA .223. I THINK I SPENT RIGHT AROUND 175 to do th econversion and then i have 5 preban 30rd gail mags then snap right in.
and im in the middle of cleaning all the guns right now. love the smell of hopes #9

saiga makes a good gun! i love my 7.62x39
