what ford needs to do is make somthing comparable to the 1965 427 cammer that pushed 1x4bbl: 616bhp @ 7500rpm. 2x4bbl: 657 bhp @ 7500rpm, 550 lb-ft. and actually put the thing into a mustang or a cougar i could care less if it was in a fucking fusion so long as it pumps massive power…somthing like this

yah…but if you happened to have the 03-04 4V forged 4.6 out of the Cobra’s, then it could make some serious power on a bone stock engine…700+ and still be on the safe side…

Totally different motors you guys are talking about. big red is referring to the 4.6l DOHC 4v/cyl. Stock was rated at 320hp (flywheel).
My car…is the one that came stock with 215hp. 4.6l SOHC 2v/cyl.
im not sure where he got 215chp from, but hes talking about his 99 cobra I believe which is rated at 305chp.
exactly, i was just saying that ford makes the same hp out of a 4.6 that chevy makes in the ss give or take 5 hp. the cobras 320 vs the camaros 330 iirc. pretty good for being down a whole liter of displacement.
in 2000 ford got 385 hp out of a n/a 5.4. some guys were seeing 400 wheel with a better flowing exhaust. pitty they only made 300
the 03 04s are animals. with intake exhaust pulley tune your easy 500 wheel

yah…but they LS1 was seriously under rated from the factory…bone stock LS1 F-bodys were giving the 03-04 bone stock cobra’s a run for their money…and ford had to use a supercharger to accomplish what GM laid down N/A
