the ls1 is an awesome motor im not gonna argue that. however the only replacement for diplacement is FI. as stated before ford got nearly 400 hp out of a 5.4 n/a

i do love to race, you guys are thinking of the NPI 4.6’s which were dogs. The 2v PI 4.6L’s made 260 and the 4v was rated over 300. Ford has made some shit engines and some awesome engines. There new 3v 4.6L is effecient and so is the cobra engine. But the design of the 4.6 was from britian not Ford. The lsX based engines are from GM originally, granted the LsX engines have more cubes, our head flow is way better then those of the PI heads and the cobra 4 valve heads. THe block stands up to the same amount of power as the forged cobra engine, and we are only using 1 camshaft compared to your 4 camshafts for you ford guys. N/A the LsX is better no doubt but the 4.6 is better for FI. Just my opinion

The LT1/C4/LS1 are examples of good engines but the car creaks/cracks like an old house.
my car is smooth as hell…but it only has 43k on it…im sure of everyday beating and up around 100k it will start making all funky noises…
my v6 made every noise possible since i was putting out over 200hp more then stock
i wouldnt say lt1 at all, they were decent but an original small block had a way easier design then the lt1, the whole optispark technology was such crap, the reverse flow cooling heads made it hard to get really good flowing heads, the intake design was so so. I dont blieve it was one of gm’s strong points, but it did lead to the ls1
yours has the bilstien suspension though i believe, shawn is right, the average fbody is not the best ride quality you can find, by far. There are so many squeaks in my car, i get throw around whenever i hit a tiny rock, it handles wierd, but its fast in a straight line and thats all im concerned with.
