yah…in its time, the LT1 was a decent engine, making decent power…however, once the LSx series engines came out…it made the lt1’s look bad.
yah mine does…mine hammers the corners like no tomarrow even with it sitting as high as it does, its steering is great and when it wants to haul ass in a drag, it moves…it all depends on how its driven tho…if you have a car with 50k on it vs the same car with 50k…and one was beat its whole life, the one thats beat is gonna ride like ass compared to the other who wasnt.
yeah no doubt, i def would like to get my hands on a set off bilstien shocks and struts, new springs as well, just to make for a better ride quality

That’s nice. But, don’t tell me this is the first you heard of crappy quality interior plastics and creaks/cracks? The 4" wide PLAY button on your casette player or the 1MM" thin leather in the C5 should be evident.
lt1’s werent that great they had like 270hp out of a 5.7l engine, thats not very good :nono and as for the comment a while back about my 1.8t :stfu Id rather have a 1.8t that needs work every other day than a mid 90’s mustang.
I’ll take my mid 90’s mustang that has started every day for the past 2 years of it being my daily driver over an unreliable 1.8t any day. Sure it’s slow (well fast compared to the MK4 1.8t), but it sounds good and looks good (IMO ;D).
the lt1 made good power, but it the design of the engine was, i dont really know how to say it, but somewhat over the top, everything that they did to make things better i.e. reverse flow cooling heads and optispark, held the car back from full potential. Anyone that wants to make REAL power in an lt1 converts the car back to an older style distributor, gets earlier small block heads worked to reverse flow, and they throw on a single plan intake manifold witha carb, so pretty much its an old small block, to me it defeats the purpose.

I could care less whether or not my car is fast, my jetta looks a hell of alot better than a mustang especially when done right.

id rather have a 94 5.0 SN95 body mustang than my GTI for all out straight line performance potential. and an old Fox body coupe would be even better… and the C4 corvette Lt1 was 300hp, not bad considering the competition at the time.
im a VW guy but Jetta and Baller dont go together. ever.
id take the stang over the jetta too… and i HATE fords.
