just for clarification i dont have 377awhp…SAE corrected, i have 366hp and 364tq…now mind you… this is a bolt on evo with cams… granmassa has a bolt on evo with cams and put down 288hp and 286 tq or something close to that on the same dyno i was on… me thinks this red evo, unless equipped with a flux capacitor, would get smoked.

well is it an 8, or 9 that makes a big difference in the bolt on vs whp… an old roomamte of mine had a 2006 MR with Cosworth 272’s, 3inch TBE, AMS FMIC, 100% meth snow kit, and an INJEN intank, 370/370 on a dyno dynamics. ive also seen a 9 with just an TBE and a Dynoflash mail in flash run 11.9@112. granted it was a 1.78 6ft that did that, its still a very capable car… dont count out a bolt on evo 9.
well, he didnt want too…I went out to race the evo and my buddy tony with his z06 was behind me…3 beeps and we hit it, only I hammered on my breaks and the Evo kid thought he was smoking me and still stayed WOT, When I hammered my brakes, my buddy down shifted his z06 to first, went flying by me, and reeled the kid in by 15+ cars and went flying by him like he was standing still…it was the funniest thing I have ever seen…Z06 was completely sideways when he down shifted too lol
its funny because we were trying to get him to race the z06 for weeks because he was such a cocky deushbag and was on a winning streak…well whenever we brought up the z06, he was like scared of it and didnt wanna run it even for fun cause it would kill his reputation…sooooo we didnt give him much of a choice lol
I raced the evo with my older smaller turbo, back when I was on 10psi and un-tunned…he only pulled me by 2.5-3 cars to 120 LOL my car was a turd then.
Last I knew…it was a Evo 8 MR…
the blue one…the Mangino kid’s was just a Evo 9…but thats long gone cause their morons.

im pretty sure they made both an evo 8 and evo 9 MR… the thing is that, the evo 8’s had an 8.5cm hotside on their turbo’s where the 9’s had a 10.5cm hotside… MUCH more top end power potential. justin (celtic82citlec) had a evo9MR with a cam and pushing 30 psi on the stock turbo with meth and all the other fun bolt ons…made 338whp and 369tq http://www.rspeed.org/forums/forced-induction/4408-results.html… and that is DYNO TUNED by one of the most reputable tuners in the world… the 9’s are no slouch, but on pump gas alone… i fear no stock turbo evo. :crackup

05 evo 8 had the 10.5 cm^2 housing…03/04s had the 8.5 housing… and all 9s had the 10.5 but the mivec helps them so much… the 370/370 mr i talked about was tuned by JESTR on 93 pump/ with meth. stock turbo, stock wastegate, stock diverter valve… Lucas english made 430AWHP on his stock 10.5housed evo turbo on his 05 evo, using E85 and his own tune.
too bad it was really a DSM…but yes, that when when he was bone stock…might be a different story now :banana
but at the end of the day…its still an “elantra” and hes still in a Z06…

different dyno’s, and needed meth to make those numbers OR e85 which i believe is rated at ~104 octane… you just need MORE of it to make the power normal gasoline would make. my car was tuned by jestr at one point as well and although johnny estrada (jestr) is a nice guy… i value franz diebolds tune more so… franz tunes the subaru world rally teams with full stand alones from scratch (pectel, hydra, etc…) i must say im more pleased with seth’s tune from moon performance than i was with the jestr tune as well.
