Wow, I’m not trying to be a jerk but that’s possibly one of the most pompous things ever said on this board. Sad, very sad.
I can tell you from experience of interviewing a bunch of engineers who can’t get a job in engineering and then try to go in to information technology looking for jobs that it’s not as easy as you might think. If you get in good with your coop place then go you, but I can assure you that I made more money working part time in IT in 1999 than you will make your first year full time - so who really cares what you are making cooping. Most of the guys I knew in school that stayed in that field (various engineers) ended up having to get masters or PhD’s to get a decent job that they could actually advance in.
See this is why I have cooped while going to school. So when i graduate school in 4 and 1/2 years (wow an extra 1/2 yr) I will have 2 full years of engineering work experience. I do the same work full time engineers do where i work now. And the bosses like me. So like i said, I KNOW i’ll be fine.
:gome:
I’ll tell you why… Because they design within a box… no outside thinking what so ever… arrogant think they know it all people … they are the ones that design dead end parking lots –
Thats why we work half in the office and half in the lab. So on our current projects, we design and test the prototypes. And there are far from parking lots.
