The bottom came out of oil prices on Tuesday, with light sweet crude tumbling over $8 a barrel in electronic trading as what’s now called Tropical Depression Gustav didn’t cause the damage to oil installations that many had feared.
In electronic trade, light sweet crude for October delivery dropped $8.30 to $107.15 a barrel.
