The "Oil Prices" thread.

did you read the posted article?

“The drop in prices has caused some concern among OPEC members,… OPEC will analyze the impact of the global financial crisis on oil demand and set production levels in accordance… Iran said $100 a barrel was too low and urged members to respect their output targets to prevent oversupply from worsening… OPEC would seek to balance the market when it meets in December.”

Cliff: OPEC will cut supply, regardless if demand is going down or not.

Yes but Saudi Arabia already came out and said they wouldn’t go along with OPEC in a production cut, keeping supply up. This is what kind of started the whole drop in oil prices to begin with

Read the past few articles. OPEC wants to cut production but Saudi Arabia is against that and going to keep producing. Its a few pages back.

down to $82.xx

where will it bottom out? $50, $60?

3.49 off the rez across the street from NCCC at valero
3.41 on the Rez.
still 3.66 by the 90 in lewiston/town of niagara.

somebody send them dots a basket

how does the barrel price translate to hmoe heating oil? I don’t know if I should lock it a contract for the season right now, or go with the market rate.

DONT lock it in yet. It will continue to drop

2.87 at the rez in Irving this morning, 93 was 3.15

Last time it was a resounding no. Looking much more likely now.

I would LOVE to see gas back at 1.99 a gallon

Me too, but it seems like a total collapse of the economy is going to be required for that. In which case, I’ll happily pay $3+ if the economy strengthens.

Not me. $2.80-3$ is fine. It’s high enough that people will try to conserve but low enough that it doesn’t crush the economy. People have a very short memory and it gas goes back down to $1.99 in less than 5 years everyone will be driving full sized trucks and SUV’s again.

wouldn’t that would be a good thing (in the short term at least)? People will have extra cash in their pockets to spend on other goods.

not disagreeing with you though about dumb people

$79.52 lol

God that hurts…hope anyone who had futures sold high…or are holding out for a rebound

Gas is $2.80 on the res

I dumped mine when it spiked to 120

Why is the Irving Rez so cheap but Smokin Joes is only like 20 cents cheaper then taxed gasoline?

OPEC is holding emergency meeting in Nov.

$2.66 for 87 this morning in irving
