The "Oil Prices" thread.

Still long at 20x for now. Futures all through 2015 and 2016 all are moving up and bullish so will let this run until something happens or at least until the end of the month when the contracts close.

My buddy got in $BTE in the high $13s. it’s at 17.69 now…and a monthly dividend payer…

mmm oil, making millionaires daily.

It really is helping my car budget for the summer.

Now I need bonds to tank to setup my next trade but that is a june or later move I think. Or I could be flat wrong like I have been the last two years…

Interesting mention. As the US and Iran build relations, could be another stir up in the oil markets.

Someone get me a cowboy hat and some pistols.

Almost back to even!

shoulda stayed in today… sold yesterday @ $2.95 for a nice gain in a few days.

Im in still. If it looks like im going to get beat on my calls I buy them back and resell to a higher strike at a later date. Right now im tied to UCO $9.5 Strike May 1st which will likely be my exit from oil for a bit but lot can change from now. If it starts have a big run like yesterday and I can walk before then I will.

Last week on the dip to 7.7 I bought another 1k shares too.

Once Oil is closed for me I am betting the 10yr treasury will not be staying under 2% much longer. So I would like to start shorting some bonds up to if/when we have a rate hike June-Sept

what brokerage are you using?

I was using ThinkOrSwim through TD ameritrade… but commissions start to eat up quite bit with a lot of trades… I started using Robin Hood… seeming to have good luck with it… and NO commissions

So, in 22 days, I’ve yielded 34% trading $UWTI. Also, I’ve been using the app Robinhood so no commissions. Just wish I had more faith in the app, too afraid to dumb a lot of capital in it.

I am up 29% on my UCO and have also collected $.50 in covered calls. Still not positive on my plan from here. Part of me says once a call strikes I will walk and part of me wants to stay in the trade long enough to pay long term cap gains tax.

Scale out some, reduce open risk and lock in partial profit?

Try to negotiate commish. I did with TOS pre TD Ameriturd and have low fees. 8)

Yeah I might do that although I am comfortable risk wise I will make moves likely based on when I see a more attractive trade id rather have funds in. Until then I will keep selling calls as I suspect it ends up range bound by July-August.

41% and another 10% selling calls(buyback on dip lock profits)

14% on TMV. I think this has longer legs
