ill try and type out the LONG version of what happened as far as the events with my car go…
88slowmarro, mcflurry and i went to chill in LG to watch the cruises after the car show… had about enough and hopped back in the sti a lil after 1 am… ssmokinss left at the same time and we decided to play around a lil bit on the highway after my “retune”. so we went the first time to about 125-130mph and drew barely squeaked around us on the top end… john called drew and said what took u so long to go by us, blah blah blah… drew comes back up along side… and we go again from about a 65 roll… sti pulled half a car and the SS made it back NEARLY even (sti by a bumper) at ~145-150mph and john says… something smells… “i smell smoke”… looks down and the check engine light is flashing at him… i turn around and we are BILLOWING smoke out the rear… im thinking the new motor just took a dump… pull off the side of the highway and the cabin fills with smoke and i notice the orange glow from under the car… we jump out and call 911 immediately… 3 undercover cop cars show up… all with nothing to douse the flames with. 10+ minutes go by and the fire dept finally arrives well after the car is fully engulfed… they finally spray her down and put her out… as i watched my car, money, time and effort go up in smoke… simple enough?.. as far as the lot is concerned… i dont know… i wasnt there… but i hear it was nearly equally as fucked.

you should try to see if that ecu will still work, I know it’s a long shot but see if you can get it powered up and see what code it threw at you.

did you guys happen to see if it was spewing anything on the road, like a trail to you pulling over? would be pretty vital in figuring out what happened.

im assuming the oil feed line to the turbo let go… braided steel line too… the tune was in the car for weeks. flashing CEL had nothing to do with the tune.
its amazing that I still reeled you in the first race when you took off before me cause I couldnt hear the beeps (which I told john) and the second race john was already beeping before I could get in my final gear…took off a gear too high…LS6 > STI
FYI…you didnt make it to 130 the second race before you feel back pretty hard. I Had my speedo Burried wrapping around and you werent in my sight.

which is retarded, notice when i raced you i shut down after i got a few cars out because there’s no catching up any time soon after that, it’s dumb going to high speeds if it’s not needed.
The ONE time i ever went to high speeds was when i ran freakls… he was on my rear door the whole time which led to the first time ever of burying the RSX speedo (ends at 160mph)
If the LS6’ed SS isn’t pulling major car lengths on the STI, i can’t imagine it’s going to be pulling on me, but hey there’s only one way to find out! ;D :ohnoes :mwahaha
