travis, i dont remember seeing a windshield when we showed up. it probably shattered when the water hit it after it got so hot from the fire… you were a bit out of it from the incident.
Look at top of where the dash used to be…see the glass. You sure the FP didn’t knock it out to flodd the car afterwards. They’re known for making 150% sure the fire is out everywhere…
Oh and i didn’t think you were accusing me of anything, just pointing it out to you that I think the glass was busted out prior to the car being towed to Clarks Towing in Queensbury…
Oh and yes bipolar laminate = stuff in between the two layers of glass in a windshield. Very goey when it melts…
anythings possible… this is the first ive seen the car since that night… kinda almost dont wanna see it. mixed feelings about the situation.
then you certainly don’t want to see all the pics I took of it that are still on my camera(to document the car being here). My condolences…
wasnt your fault homie. i just got stuck with the raw end of the stick in every fashion with this car… more than once. shoulda cut my losses the first time around… instead i bust my ass… get a new motor built for it… and this shit happens…lifes a bitch sometimes… sometimes those bitches cut off your balls and throw ur dick into the bushes.
I’m guessing you’re not shooting to get those parts tonight? No bigge, just seeing if I can go to bed now :sleep
my ride kinda never got back to me… this is what truly sucks rectum about not having access to a car. im sorry…
Not a problem. Just call when you think you can swing over. I’m in no rush myself. Call with additional parts request from the chassis as they come in…I’ll probably pull the drivetrain next week to diagnose what’s left…
off to sleeeep
windshield was gone at during fire and knocked all the way out when putting it out i watched it :nod i also thought about singin coom by ahh ;D
i can clean up toxic waste spills :banana
then buy the remains of the sti
how much for the whole thing? haha how sick would a STI tough truck be next year?
:rofl
or do a fuckin dune buggy all wheel drive wit a good drivetrain … :nod
the reaction the crowd would have would be PRICELESS. if you could get it cleaned up cheap paint job that would look good from 100 foot awayl and going good enough to hit the jumps.
Make sure the wheels are pink
no GTFO
:rofl
If it were only that easy :sad I’d estimate to get the car back up and running to drive as a offroad beater would be in excess of 10-12K. If you wanted it to be legal for NYS roads and have a salvage title(pass NYS DOT tech inspection) you’d be looking at probable 16-18K as the car would require all OEM components with receipts and full saftey equipment(airbags, seats, interior, etc). Fire restorations are the worst, for obvious reasons. Everything and I mean everything from the dash forward would need to be replaced, entire electrical, uggggg. Pictures don’t do it justice, just ask Code Blue from today.
I don’t think most here understand how hot this fire really was towards the end. The aluminum components on the car on the right half of the front are vaporized…temps in excess of 1850F.
i can attest to what adam is saying. The pictures definitely do NOT do the car justice, it is crazy.
travis, I kinda pee’d a little on your car
