shit! this means there won’t be any Explorer transmissions left in the junkyards. lol people still driving explorers NEED those!

After all these years of Exploring they’ve finally discovered logic.

HAHA that is pretty funny

:rofl nice

Not to self, do NOT buy an explorer.

haha, I loved my 02’ Exploder…o well

Couldn’t possibly be that they were some of the most popular cars and there are just plain more of them out there. :facepalm

Really you are trying to use logic with benny?

Even though the drive train blew dick in them, for what you pay for them you cant beat a explorer if you need a good tow vehicle for a small - med boat, big popup, sleds, stuff like that where you dont need a full sized pickup to tow. We had a EB edition 98. We towed a big fucking fiberglass side popup, 18’ fishing boat, sleds… thing was a beast. Awesome in 4wd (before we blew the front diff). Kept that shit for like 100K +. No engine issues at all, no electrical shit… and towing got 16mpg unloaded got like 16mpg! lol not sure how that was but if you didnt drive it daily it was great.

Wonder how many explorers were traded in for yet another 16mpg turd?

I just found out something interesting. EVERY single car that is traded in for the Clunkers program gets crushed. They use an engine killer solvent then crush the cars and reuse the scrap metal. It makes sense but thats a LOT of dead cars.

Yea its this liquid glass shit that they pour into the engine, turn it on and keep their foot all the way down on the gas and pretty much just wait until the engine smokes and dies… there was a video posted up here the other day about this…

SO FUCKING STUPID! the amount of energy to produce a new car, will not be gained back from the fraction of gas saved. Do people actually think cars just appear and they don’t require energy to produce?!

the amount of energy i waste trying to find your boss’s none existent black armada is SO FUCKING STUPID too.

is he working now??? :lol

LMAO, he’s prob there now!

an article i read also says that the chemicals used to kill the engine costs more then what they’re really saving…so in the end how does this even work!!! I no longer see a point to them doing this, as for crushing the cars, they could part them out to junk yards and allow the parts to be available to consumers who still have these types of vehicles. now THATS a way to put more money back into the economy!

It’s not for the environment, it’s supposed to give a boost to the auto industry.

And dealers are recommended to use the liquid whateverthestuffis, but technically they just have to disable them. Like pouring sand into the engine or running them with no coolant up to 350*F, etc.

What does that have to do with anything? Matter of fact I just checked through a bunch of top produced/sold cars and didn’t see one mention of an Explorer…soooo you’re dumb.

I want to be the guy who goes around and kills the cars before they are crushed. seems like asweet gig.

Better idea yet, instead of crushing them send them to “Daves Farm” on youtube! LOL

:lol

Those cars I don’t mind seeing go.

However destroying that S80 is just a crime.
