The worlds richest business man is the worlds cheapest bastard..

the average vagina is 8" deep.

I guess ever person who makes a lot of money should donate it all to other people. This is the typical, “give me all of your shit because I don’t want to go get it myself” type of thinking. Quit being jealous.

Why should he be required to give his money away? Why is he as “ass” because he made a lot of money?

shit, and i thought most of them were 5 foot 8 and taller…

wow… good thing my final average was a 3.11

I guess everytime you totally miss a point i should explain it. This is the typical, “i don’t understand the post so i’ll just attack the writer because that’s what i do” type of thinking. Quit being you.

if money doesn’t mean anything to billy boy; and he’s worried about his kids being rich pricks… than money shouldn’t mean anything as far as a working wage goes either and his so called charitable ass should just hire ppl working in america. how can money mean so little one day and so much to him the next. :jerkit: i mean c’mon, if you’re gonna “give it away” give it to the working man, seems as charitable as the next cause to me? :dunno:

werd. This isnt like exporting jobs to Taiwain because they can do the work for 1/10 the cost. Im sure its more expensive for Microsoft to being people in from Asia or wherever than it is for them to use US employees. So how can anyone bitch?

You have obviously never had to fight to keep your job from some schmuck in India who is reading a script and messing up the job.

i guess i read the article from a different view, i did not take it like they are looking to outsource the jobs… but create a global employee pool to get the best of the best employees. I work with some people that they have trouble telling their elbow from their asshole… they do not deserve their job! I work hard to make sure i keep my job and make sure i excel in my carreer. I know if i got laid off tomorrow, i would be able to find work in a short time.

and you obviously dont understand the issue we are arguing about.

The people in question are not “schmucks reading a script”. Thats the whole point. They arent bringing in the people from Asia because they’re cheaper, they are bringing them in because they are MORE SKILLED. They dont have enough skilled people here in the US to fill their need for workers, so they are paying to have them shipped in. Its not saving Microsoft money. If American kids were filling their demand for skilled workers, then they wouldnt have to do this. But they arent, so they have to go somewhere to fill their positions. And if someone is more skilled to do your position than you are, its in the company’s best interest to shitcan your ass and give the job to the more qualified person. Americans are just whining because now the workplace just got more competative.

more fuel to fire…

bill gate sis a rich motherfucker. he is on top of the world. but so was Jobs and macintosh. you see where mac is at now. So if gates dont have the best people, he wont stay the best. simple as that. as everyone is gunning to bring him down, so it makes him hire/work harder to stay the best.

side note-- my 1st comp-- a mac 512 http://www.apple-history.com/images/models/128k.gif

And after they create the “global pool” of employees, they will realize that they can have twice as many employees in other countries for half the pay or send the ones that are here back to their own country for less money. If Bush opens up all the sanctions he will leave us wide open for other things. It is bad enough that many of our jobs are going over seas now… it will only get worse if we let it.

I’m all for the best skilled worker for the job but many companies are not looking at that. Take Dell for instance… they outsourced (or something) a bunch of folks from India and their “superior service” went thru the crapper. That is why they are pushing their service so hard now. They brought those folks here for traing and such then sent them back to their country for less money.

What do you do for a living?

he cleans crappers at a hotel.

That would explain why he see’s no problem with jobs being hired outside the country because it is not his job they are looking to get.

Again, you are straying from the whole point of this converation. If there were enough skilled employees in America, Microsoft wouldnt be looking to Asia for employees. Its not a cost saving measure, its a “we need to fill positions and cant find enough people to fill them” problem. Even if that wasnt the case, Gates still has every right to staff his company with the most competent employees he can find. Are you saying he should have to hire a less qualified American and pay him more money over an Asian who is more qualified who will work for less money, simply because the American kid is American? Thats bullshit. Americans should get an easy ride just because they are American? :greddy:

And for the record, I dont clean crappers at a hotel. Im the Recreation Director of the 2nd largest hotel in Ocean City, and worked my way into my position in less than a year and a half from a walk-in desk clerk position, without a college degree.

Its one thing to hire away American jobs to slave labor in China where they pay women and children a dollar a day, but farming out to foreign countries to attain a skilled workforce that your native country cannot provide is nothing but good business. Gates is accontable to his stockholders to make his company as profitable as possible. If that makes the job market more competative for you, then thats tough shit.

i can still find a job… another interview tomorrow!

OK… Darkstar… try to follow along. I know it may be hard but please try because I’m tired of this topic.

You need to look further into the future when subjects like this come up. There is more than a one time issue here… this could roll into a snowball situation at a very rapid pace.

Sonny… I’m sorry but I am using you as an example in this discussion… don’t be mad… I’m just trying to explain.

Story… (not true)
Sonny works for Company A as a Network Analyst making 100,000 per year. President Bush opens all sanctions allowing Corporations to hire from all over the Globe. Company A realizes they can hire 4 people from Asia for the same cost as one person (Sonny) from the USA. Company A decides to “layoff” Sonny and hire 4 people from Asia. Company A never sacrifices talent in this scenario. The folks in Asia are just as qualified as Sonny is. Now Sonny has lost his job. He looks thru the ads and can’t find anything over 15,000 per year. <- this is of because the flood of foreigners on the jobs market. So Sonny… who has bills to pay… must accept a LOW PAYING position to put food on the table and keep the car running. But Sonny doesn’t have any extra money now. So he decides not to take a vaction at your (Darkstar) hotel. The next thing you (Darkstar) notice is your room sales have dropped. Seems very slow for peak season. Boss comes to you (Darkstar) and says, “Business has been slow this year. I’m afraid we can’t afford to keep the pool open.” Which means you (Darkstar) are now out of a job…because President Bush opened sanctions to hire outside the US, and Sonny did not keep his original job.

Does that make more sense? Do you see how this can effect everyone in the USA. Hiring outside the US can drive the wages down. If we get paid less for the same job, we can’t meet our obligations.

At no point did I ever say that US companies should sacrifice high quality workers just because they are from another country.

And, do not fool yourself into believing these decisions are not made based on Money. ALL decisions are based on Money. There are highly qualified valuable people in every country, the problem lies when you start mixing economic standards for these countries. Minimum wage here and minimum wage in China are not nearly the same.

I remember reading at some point that him and his wife had donated in the billions in a year to different orgs. But idk if that was a one year thing or he just has stopped that type of donations.

get it all out, i’m not intersted in talking about this at home.
